The concept of PsynOpticz was seeded in the thriving Cape Town indoor scene in 2006, where it flourished, providing the CT masses with cream of the crop local and international talent on a weekly basis. These events quickly gained an ardent following and were renowned for their stellar lineups, immersive psychedelic decor and energising vibe! With this experience and ever growing support, it became inevitable that PsynOpticz branch out into the outdoors, providing South Africa with it's staple annual event, Jungala Festival. It has its own special flavour and design, with the goal to create an all encompassing experience that removes you from the mundane and transports you to an interactive psychedelic wonderland, a completely synergistic and harmonious journey from beginning to end. These festival hosts fresh talent as well as headliners, both homegrown and from around the globe, establishing the network that would eventually culminate in the evolution of PsynOpticz from event organiser to a record label. The mastermind behind PsynOpticz, Calvin aka SwiTcHcaChe, has developed a keen ear for prospective acts, being both organiser as well a DJ. By committing to bringing out new and exciting acts to Cape Town, he uncovered many artists that share his love for non-generic and energetic psychedelic music, and his desire grew to expose this incredible music to the unsuspecting psy masses. Currently, the PsynOpticz stable is represented by artists from around the globe, each bringing their own unique approach and sound to the psychedelic world stage. His connection with music began at a young age, exploring different instruments and developing a wide range of influences across genres such as thrash metal, punk, hardcore, and rap. Over time, his musical world expanded even further, drawing inspiration from expressive styles like jazz, afrobeats, and other rhythm-driven sounds. Lante discovered the psychedelic trance scene at 17, and by the age of 19 he began producing psytrance. His journey into production was guided by his close friend Daniel Pulvirenti, aka Kovik, who introduced him to the foundations of psychedelic music and helped him understand how to create it within Ableton. Through his project, Lante explores the deeper complexities of sound — moving through psychedelic atmospheres, detailed synthesis, fast rhythms above 140 BPM, and experimental frequencies. His music is built around expression, movement, and sonic exploration, creating a deep and expansive sound designed to make listeners experience music from a different perspective. Together with other like-minded producers and friends, Lante continues to shape a sound that is wide, immersive, and thought-provoking — pushing his creative vision deeper into the psychedelic spectrum. This episode features Unlogicz from Italy — delivering a dynamic fusion of driving psychedelic rhythms, immersive atmospheres, and cutting-edge sound design crafted for peak-time dancefloor experiences. 🔴🎵 Subscribe To PsynOpticz: https://bit.ly/subscribePsynOpticz MORE ABOUT : Mario Pecoraro, aka UNLOGICZ, was born in Italy and first discovered psytrance in 2018 after attending his first festival — an experience that opened the door to a deeper connection with the psychedelic music scene. Over the following years, his passion for psytrance continued to grow as he immersed himself in parties, festivals, and the underground movement around him. By 2020, this passion evolved into his first DJ project, ARIES, where he began performing at small gatherings before quickly moving into larger events. His journey gained momentum through his connection with DJ Kenon and DJ Yage, who introduced him to the Logic Answer team in 2021 — a young Italian crew dedicated to promoting, organizing, and producing psychedelic events. Through this connection and his growing presence behind the decks, Unlogicz soon became part of some of the most important parties and festivals in the Italian scene and beyond, including Shanti, Solar Light, Tribes Synergy, Wao Festival, Fantasia Festival, and Arcadia Festival. As his musical path expanded, he began spending more time in the studio with producers such as Twigger, Dayalix, JoBatta, and Intrapsyche. These experiences introduced him to the world of music production and inspired him to launch his own producer project: UNLOGICZ. This new chapter marked the beginning of his live performance journey, allowing him to bring his own productions and creative vision directly to the dancefloor. In 2025, Unlogicz connected with SwiTcHcaChe, who was impressed by his productions and welcomed him into the PsynOpticz Records family. Since then, Unlogicz has continued to evolve his sound through PsynOpticz, producing his first EPs and releasing his first tracks with the label — opening a new pathway for his music to reach dancefloors around the world.
