Friends-of-the-Underground participated in a special, in-person recording of the eleventy-first and final episode of Public Power Underground celebrating our community of electric utility enthusiasts. […] I can say this. People are having to learn about energy faster than I've ever seen it in more spaces than I've ever seen it. Now, I'm sure everyone says that about their own energy crisis. I'm sure we heard that in 73 and before I wasn't around there, but I just trust that there was a lot of education very quickly. What I'm seeing now is the natural gas being hooked up to new buildings is being used as part of tribal battles beyond energy itself. For example, one of the ways if you think that it's harder to build apartments with natural gas and you don't want any apartments built, you can try to ban or restrict various things and make it more difficult to build it.
