The Subconscious Script Behind Your Stage Fright with Nicolette Nierras

What if your fear of public speaking isn’t about “confidence” at all? In this episode, Kelly Kaye Walker sits down with hypnotherapist Nicolette J. Nierras to unpack what’s really behind the fear of being seen, judged, or criticized as a speaker. Nicolette shares how subconscious programming shapes our behavior, why many of us get stuck in “I’m too much” or “I’m not enough,” and what it looks like to heal the root instead of just pushing through the anxiety. You’ll also hear Nicolette’s Worthy, Authentic, Abundant Framework, her explanation of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), and a powerful client story about boundaries and reclaiming personal voice. If you’ve ever held back from sharing your message because you were scared of what people might think, this one’s for you. Why fear of being judged is often really a self-worth issue How subconscious beliefs can run your life on autopilot (and what to do about it) The connection between childhood conditioning and the fear of speaking up Nicolette’s Worthy, Authentic, Abundant Framework for personal transformation What RTT is (and how it combines multiple modalities to create change) Why your mind keeps “finding proof” that you’re not ready yet The difference between showing up “performing” vs. showing up authentically Two closing quotes you’ll want to steal for your journal or your next speech “I tied my achievements to my self-worth, and it was exhausting.” “If you bottle things up long enough, eventually it becomes a ticking bomb.” The core belief many people carry: “I’m too much” or “I’m not enough.” “Nature is never in a hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” Nicolette offers four guided hypnosis tracks, each designed to be listened to for 21 days: Wealth Wiring Deep, Uninterrupted Sleep Weight Management Overcoming Fear of Public Speaking You can access them through her website by clicking “Free Hypnosis Audio.” Website: thenicknieraswholisticlifestyle.com (thenicknieraswholisticlifestyle.com) (Go to the “Free Hypnosis Audio” button to download the 4 tracks.) Standing Ovations Are Nice But Action-Taking is Better, with Danny Brassell

What if your presentation wasn’t just “inspiring”… but actually profitable? In this episode, Kelly Kaye Walker sits down with speaking coach and storyteller Dr. Danny Brassell to break down how to craft a presentation that gets audiences to take a clear next step (not just clap politely and forget you by lunch). Danny shares his “well-crafted story” approach and the research-backed reason your audience remembers the beginning and end of your talk more than the middle (yes, he says it: the bun matters more than the burger). You’ll also hear wild real-life examples of what happens when someone actually follows the formula, including one client who sold 23 spots into a $40,000 program after a single podcast appearance. If you’ve ever watched someone “firehose” an audience with 28 teaching points and call it a keynote, this one is for you. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why clarity is the real first step (and the two questions 95% of people can’t answer) How to structure your first 5 minutes using RAP: Relatable, Authority, Purpose The primacy/recency effect, and how to stop wasting the middle of your talk Why your presentation should be measured by movement, not applause The danger of multiple CTAs and Danny’s mantra: “Choices confuse and cause you to lose.” How to ethically connect without turning your hardest life moment into a sales tactic A simple story-mining exercise to generate hundreds of usable personal stories Why getting better at speaking is reps, reps, and more reps (yes, even if you “stink” at first) Notable moments: Danny’s autobiography title: “Pivots” (because apparently he’s lived nine lives) The “award show” strategy: what you can learn from 45-second acceptance speeches The famous “five frogs on a log” closer, and why deciding isn’t the same as doing Kelly’s opening confession: peach rings are a liar and do not, in fact, provide sustainable energy Free Resources Danny is giving my listeners his free Well-Crafted Story Blueprint. Go to freestoryguide.com and download it (guide like a tour guide). And if you’d like my free get-started workbook, How to Find the Message In Your Mess, go to speakingcoachkelly.com/workbook

Stop Chasing, Start Attracting: Speaking Confidence + Energetic Prep with ChewHoong Koh

In this episode, I’m joined by ChewHoong Koh, a coach who helps purpose-driven entrepreneurs and changemakers stop hustling, stop hiding, and start showing up as the kind of person opportunities are drawn to. We talk about what really keeps people stuck when it comes to speaking, especially the stuff that lives under the hood: fear, old programming, shame, procrastination, and those “small T” experiences that quietly convince you it’s safer to stay invisible. ChewHoong shares how she moved from being the self-declared “queen of procrastination” to becoming someone who speaks anyway, even when it’s uncomfortable, because her North Star (impact and legacy) is louder than her fear. We also dive into her simple pre-speaking practice that takes about three minutes, designed to help you shift your energy before networking, pitching, speaking, or showing up online so you stop chasing and start attracting. If you’re a speaker (or future speaker) who knows you’re meant to be seen, but you keep hesitating… this one’s for you. Why “knowledge” isn’t power (and what actually is) How “small T” experiences can create big visibility blocks The difference between a stuck cycle and an awesome cycle ChewHoong’s 3 speaker superpowers: Authenticity (showing up as you, not a performance) Energy (your audience feels what you feel) Knowingness (showing up with expectation, not dread) A quick visualization you can use before:networking events speaking gigs podcasts outreach, pitching, or marketing tasks “Knowledge is good, but it’s not power. Action is.” “If not now, when?” “What do you want instead?” “You don’t need everybody, you need your people.” ChewHoong supports purpose-driven coaches and changemakers to stop hustling and become a magnet for aligned clients and opportunities. Her work blends internal transformation with practical action, helping people move from procrastination and self-doubt into confident, visible leadership. Free Gift ChewHoong has a short guided visualization (about 3 minutes) to help you prep your energy before networking, speaking, or doing any action that normally triggers fear or resistance. To get that gift, email her at: ChewHoong@ThriveWithSuccess.com If you’re not speaking yet, ask yourself: If not now, when? And then: What’s your big why? Make that your North Star.
