Truly exquisite irony!<br /><br />On the first episode of The Original PDP in 2026, we discuss the hiring of PDP (the other one) as the new President of Baseball Operations, Josh Byrnes as the new Rockies general manager, why these hires could be good, why they might be bad, why they are extremely Rockies in weirdness, and how the franchise managed to actually clear a bar of expectations by not just hiring the next person down the line in their C-suite.<br /><br />But maybe more than that, we discuss a smattering of truly horrible holiday commercials, using the Rockies' groundbreaking new reality of "well, they literally can't get worse, so let's see how this goes" as a vehicle to get to roast more ads.<br /><br />It's the latest edition of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast.
