Purposely Crossed

About Purposely Crossed

This is a place for those who have been hurt, confused, overlooked, broken, and wondered, “Why did this have to happen?”. Here we find meaning in the moments that tried to break us. What felt like a burden was really an assignment, and every season that stretched us, was shaping us. Nothing that happened was random—it had purpose. Each episode leans into real life: betrayal, heartbreak, loss, disappointment, waiting, and unexpected pain. Yet, through every story, we uncover the same truth—God was present, intentional, and working behind the scenes. The things we thought were setbacks were actually setups. The battles were building us. The cross wasn’t a mistake; it was part of the mission. This podcast invites listeners to reflect, heal, and grow. We explore how Jesus was crossed on purpose, and how our own lives echo that same pattern: pressure with a purpose, pain with a promise, and purpose hidden in the process. We don’t avoid the hard questions—we walk through them together with faith, honesty, and hope. If life has ever cut deep, if you’ve ever been crossed by people you trusted, or if your journey has felt heavy and confusing, this space reminds you: You weren’t abandoned. You were assigned. There was purpose in every step. Welcome to the conversation.

EP 10 "Proper Wound Care By The Caretaker" | Purposely Crossed

Hey y’all, we’re back! Welcome to Episode 10 of Purposely Crossed Podcast—and first off, thank you for rocking with us on this journey. In today’s episode, we’re joined by the amazing Michelle Douglas. This conversation hits a little different because we share similar roots—growing up as PKs (pastor’s kids), navigating church life, identity, expectations, and everything that comes with it. We talk about the real stuff—finding yourself, dealing with pressure, feeling misunderstood at times, and growing through experiences that aren’t always talked about openly in church spaces. It’s honest, it’s relatable, and it’s definitely needed. Michelle is a devoted wife and mother who keeps God at the center of it all, and her perspective brings both wisdom and transparency to the conversation. As you listen, come with an open heart. If you’ve ever had experiences—inside or outside the church—that shaped you, challenged you, or grew you… this one’s for you.
