<p>《成為一個男人》為美國國家圖書獎決選作家、全球暢銷書《愛的歷史》作者妮可・克勞斯的首部短篇小說集。書中收錄十個故事，寫周旋於錯位國境、時代與身分的現代男女，關於他們在親密關係中，面對愛的給予與失去，他們的掙扎與脆弱，生命的韌性、慾望的追尋，探索著一個人在成為一個男人、成為一個女人，或者與另一個人成為一對伴侶，意味著什麼，又揭露了哪些遭逢巨大變革後從未見過的自我。</p> <p>我們此次邀請到曾翻譯妮可・克勞斯四部作品包括《愛的歷史》、《大宅》、《烏有》和《成為一個男人》的翻譯家施清真，以及作為妮可・克勞斯長年讀者、同時也是作家和演員的鄧九雲，和我們聊聊《成為一個男人》中她們最喜歡的篇目，也探討書中不斷提及的性別和親密關係，並深入挖掘故事中的猶太背景如何透過角色，將作者自身的生命經驗體現在文字細節中，帶讀者一同進到妮可・克勞斯充滿魅力的敘事。</p> <p><br></p> <p>施清真</p> <p>年過半百的讀者暨譯者。政治大學學士，哥倫比亞大學碩士，西北大學博士，修習新聞傳播，卻以譯寫文學小說為業。住過紐約和芝加哥，現居舊金山，卻始終心繫台灣。喜歡酗咖啡、紅杉林、讀小說，厭惡政客和實境秀。譯作包括《樹冠上》、《蘇西的世界》等三十餘部小說。 </p> <p><br></p> <p>鄧九雲 </p> <p>演員、作家、編導。政治大學廣告學系與韓文雙學士，英國東15表演碩士。影像與劇場表演遍及台港中。出版多本短篇小說與散文集：《女兒房》、《最初看似新奇的東西》、《暫時無法安放的》、《用走的去跳舞》、《我的演員日記》。長篇小說《女二》入圍二十三屆台北文學獎年金獎助計畫。二〇一五年開創「小說聚場」系列展演，結合非典型空間、文本與戲劇。</p>
