直至如今，鋼琴這項樂器，幾乎所有學習音樂的人們都習慣以它為入門選擇， 年輕時候的我，曾經覺得這個「慣例」十分奇怪，明明鋼琴的體積龐大、價格昂貴、保養不易，而且演奏起來並不容易，甚至有很多身體條件上的限制… 但為什麼「鋼琴」在古典音樂的世界中如此受到重視，幾乎人人必學呢? 鋼琴先生從不說謊，當我按下某一個琴鍵，就會給我一個安穩正確的回音。 無論我的所思所想多麼飄忽不定，他永遠有求必應。 正是這種安全感，讓自古至今的音樂家，都對鋼琴依賴不已。 鋼琴如此固若金湯，卻很少人知道按照這項樂器的發音原理，應該要被歸納為「絃樂器」，而非「鍵盤樂器」。
