Can you love someone without telling them the truth? And can you stand for truth without showing love?
In 2 John, we're reminded that truth and love were never meant to be separated. Following Jesus means knowing what's true, walking in obedience, and loving others with the same faithful commitment God has shown us.
In week one of Truth & Error, Pastor Bryan walks through John's second letter and challenges us to examine what we believe, how we love, and who we allow to shape our faith. In a world filled with competing voices, we need more than good intentions. We need God's Word, faithful Christian community, and the courage to reject what leads us away from Jesus.
A few anchors:
Truth and love belong together. We cannot faithfully practice one without the other.
Biblical love is a commitment we live out, not simply a feeling we experience.
God's truth doesn't bend to fit our lives. Our lives must align with His truth.
Following Jesus means recognizing false teaching and refusing to support those who spread it.
Christian community helps us remain grounded in truth and grow in love.
Truth isn't simply something we believe. Truth is a person, and His name is Jesus.

10.4 - 1 Corinthians 11:1 // A Guide Who Shows The Way
Someone is watching how you live. The question is: Where will your example lead them?
In the final week of FOLLOW, Worship Pastor Trey unpacks the sixth measure of a disciple: A Guide Who Shows the Way. Paul gives a bold invitation in 1 Corinthians 11:1: “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.” He wasn't claiming to be perfect. He was showing people the way to Jesus through the way he lived.
Every one of us has influence. Our kids, friends, coworkers, and classmates learn from more than what we say. They watch what we do. Following Jesus means taking responsibility for that influence and becoming someone whose life helps others follow Him too.
A few anchors:
Everyone has influence. Someone is already watching your life.
A guide follows Jesus first, then helps others follow Him.
What we do often teaches louder than what we say.
Being worth following doesn't mean being perfect. It means being honest when we get off track and turning back toward Jesus.
The more closely we watch Jesus, the more others can see Jesus in us.
A disciple doesn't only follow Jesus. A disciple helps someone else follow Him too.

9.27 - 2 Corinthians 5:20 // A Messenger Who Goes Boldly
Following Jesus means carrying His message wherever we go.
In 2 Corinthians 5:20, Paul reminds believers that we are Christ's ambassadors. God has chosen to make His appeal to the world through ordinary people who have been reconciled to Him. Every follower of Jesus has been called to be a messenger who goes boldly, inviting others to experience the same grace they've received.
In week seven of FOLLOW, Pastor Bryan explores the fifth measure of discipleship: A Messenger Who Goes Boldly. The Great Commission in Matthew 28 points us toward God's mission, and the vision of every nation worshiping Jesus in Revelation 7 reminds us where history is headed. Between those two moments is our calling: to faithfully pursue people with the hope of the gospel.
A few anchors:
Every Christian is an ambassador who represents Jesus.
God chooses to make His appeal to others through His people.
The message we carry is simple: Be reconciled to God.
Our mission is to lovingly and boldly share the gospel with everyone who is far from Christ.
Faithfulness is our responsibility. The results belong to God.
Sharing our faith doesn't require having every answer. It begins with prayer, grows through everyday conversations, and depends on the Holy Spirit to change hearts. As disciples mature, they become people who naturally point others toward Jesus.
