Siamo una famiglia Indo-Italiana. Dal 2023 siamo in Bhutan!
Dopo anni di vita caotica a Delhi, ci siamo trasferiti a Varese. Abbiamo goduto dei nonni, degli amici, della natura. Ci siamo adagiati in una vita sicura. Stavamo però cercando un’avventura, a livello professionale per noi, e culturale, per poter crescere come famiglia.
Eccoci quindi in Bhutan! Abbiamo trovato un posto meraviglioso, una cultura basata su rispetto, pazienza ed empatia.
Speriamo che questi racconti possano far conoscere un po' della cultura Bhutanese. E magari ispirare qualche famiglia a partire!

The lightning strike and other short stories
We recap some events of the last months. We went to Manu&Raffi wedding. We also went to explore Madrid... As our project in Bhutan is ending, we are trying to figure out what and where next!! Finally, Nora tested a Faraday cage (a scary episode).

A Big Concert in Bhutan!! and 108 Stupas!
An episode of the past finally in production! So in the past that the new school is now going to end;)
The Dochu La (Dochu Pass, la means pass in Dzongkha) is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimphu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.

Siamo andati in Bangladesh! Siamo riusciti a realizzare il sogno di portare i ragazzi nel il posto dove ci siamo conosciuti..qualche anno fa! Viaggio impegnativo, ma e' stato bello reincontare persone che non vedevamo da venti anni, conoscerne di nuove e sopratutto rivedere Grameen Bank!

The Black Necked Crane of Phobjikha Valley
An episode monopolized by Neal's narration and where we do not say anything about Ray!
Some experiences in Punakha and some beautiful birds, the black-necked cranes (Grus nigricollis) that are winter visitors of the Phobjikha Valley in Bhutan during winter months. Thanks to their presence the Phobjikha Valley is protected. Since many activities are not allowed, the government is trying to support the tourist economy.

The Monk and the Gun!
Our first Movie in a theatre in Bhutan! (Bellissimo!) A personal family review of the movie, a hint about the special souvenirs of Bhutan ;) and finally updates on Ray and Italian soccer teams!
Following up his Oscar-nominated debut film “Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom (https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/lunana-a-yak-in-the-classroom-movie-review-2022),” Bhutanese filmmaker Pawo Choyning Dorji (https://www.rogerebert.com/cast-and-crew/pawo-choyning-dorji)’s “The Monk and the Gun” is a droll political satire set in the year 2006 as the Kingdom of Bhutan transitions towards becoming the world’s youngest democracy. Lusciously lensed by cinematographer Jigme Tenzing (https://www.rogerebert.com/cast-and-crew/jigme-tenzing) (our new friend here!), the ensemble comedy examines how the country’s upcoming mock elections affect the titular monk, a rural family, an election official, and a desperate liason from the city, all of whose lives collide in minor and major ways.
