About Queen City Press Podcast

In-depth FC Cincinnati coverage in audio form to supplement written content from Queen City Press publisher Laurel Pfahler, a professional journalist who covers the team full-time. The Queen City Press Podcast now features two weekly shows, including a paid subscriber-supported "Insider" show that provides exclusive access to full interviews with players and staff, the ability to submit a question for Laurel to ask of a player or coach and more. This show is hosted by the spouse team of Laurel and Eric Pfahler, a former sports writer who enjoys watching and talking soccer, and it generally publishes Mondays. As of February 2026, we have added a second weekly "preview" show to break down the upcoming weekend match, share brief clips of interviews and more. MLSSoccer.com's Tyler Snipes joins Laurel on Fridays for this ad-supported, publicly available show. These podcasts provide a unique perspective from inside the training grounds and locker room of FC Cincinnati.

Next 90: FC Cincinnati ins and outs, previewing Atlanta with Dax McCarty

Soccer guru D.J. Switzer makes his debut as a new co-host for the Next 90, giving listeners a fresh perspective on a stalling FC Cincinnati team that sits outside the playoff picture with eight games left. Laurel and D.J. discuss the state of the team coming out of the international break, what one thing D.J. would tweak if he was in charge, how players did on national team duty and more. Then, MLS on Apple TV studio analyst and color commentator Dax McCarty joins to share his thoughts going into Saturday's game at Atlanta United, the last club he played for before retiring in 2024. How does FCC replace injured Evander? Is it too late to switch formations? What gives in this game -- FCC's struggling defense or Atlanta's struggling attack? And is it time for Atlanta to just look ahead to 2027? This episode is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.
