Hello and welcome to Queer Frontier: A Journey Into Nerdy Unknowns, the podcast where two friends introduce each other, and you, to our favourite things. My name is Shana and my co-host is Casey. We're here, we’re queer, and we have many opinions about nerdy things, so join us on our journey into the unknown! Our first topic is Star Wars because when Casey admitted she had never seen it, I knew I had to change that. And because we are millennials, we just had to document it. We will also be taking side quests into other topics like D&D, anime, fanfiction, and other TV shows, movies, and books.
Join us as Casey leads Shana in her first D&D adventure. Featuring a mysterious forest, a variety of tiny creatures that Shana's character Orna is too kind to fight, and way too many natural ones.
Thank you to Pixabay for the sound effects (scream, bird noises).
Adventure Intro music courtesy of Casey and her ocarina.

Star Wars: Ep. 1: Discussing the Menace
PSA: To our listeners, especially our POC listeners, in this episode we attempt to talk about race, racism, anti semitism, colonialism, and slavery in the context of Star Wars. We are still learning ourselves as we are both white so if we have said anything that’s incorrect or harmful please tell us and we will fix it. We know the job of teaching us does not fall on your shoulders but we would hate to spread false or harmful information so any help would be appreciated.
And so our Journey has begun! Join Casey and Shana on their journey as they discuss Episode One: The Phantom Menace. Listen as they talk about their highlights and lowlights of the film, the fan reaction, and Casey’s Prophecies about what comes next.
Content Warnings:
Explicit language, discussion of race, racism, anti-semitism, slavery, colonialism, and war.

Star Wars: Ep. 0.5: What we know about Star Wars
Before you join us on our Journey through the majority of the Star Wars Disney canon content, listen to this episode to figure out what we know, (or more accurately, what Casey doesn't know), about Star Wars. Shana talks about her childhood growing up with Star Wars, Casey tries to guess the names of the movies in chronological order, and Shana does a terrible Chewy impression! Listen for more funny moments between two nerdy friends.
