Learning Self Love
Episode 3 of Season 2 introduces us to Marc, a listener to this podcast from Switzerland who reached out so he could share his life story and the struggles he experienced with coming to terms with who he is and the trials and tribulations he suffered to reach a point in his life where he could love himself and all who he is. Marc's story is layered in many ways, but this makes it a story that everyone will be able to identify with in some way or another. I connected deeply with Marc's story and it made me feel seen and less alone in the thoughts that swim around my head from time to time. I hope you all feel this same connection and know that there is always someone out there who wants to hear your story and wants to help you in any way that they can. Thank you for listening! For our Swiss listeners, Marc has provided me with the following emergency numbers for those suffering through a mental health crisis: 147: Pro Juventute, https://www.147.ch/fr/ (https://www.147.ch/fr/) 143: Suicide Helpline, https://www143.ch/fr/ (https://www143.ch/fr/) 144: Ambulance Service 117: Police 112: European Emergency Number

Finding Happiness
Season 2 kicks off with my guest Cabhán Ó Duinn detailing his life and how in the past year he has been able to find happiness through being his authentic self. Cabhán's story is heart breaking at times, but ultimately is a tale of hope and stands as an inspiration to us all as to the joy and happiness to be found when you accept and embrace your authentic self. Enjoy the episode and welcome to Season 2 of Queer Tales. *TRIGGER WARNING* Suicide is mentioned in this episode so please skip if this is a trigger for you.

Part 1 - #AskGrindr
This episode is part 1 of my chat with David O'Connor and Ciara O'Hanlon. We discuss the results of a quick little research question we threw to the faceless profiles of Grindr to find out their reasoning for not having a public face picture up. The results were quite interesting and the graph of the results can be found on social media (@queertalespod). Part two of my chat with these guests will be out next week. Thanks for listening.

Shame and Unconscious Bias
In this episode, I am joined by Grace Ní Dhonnchú. Initially, we set out to discuss her podcast Women Vs Everything, and we did quickly talk about the how it started, what it's about and the future goals for the podcast, but we very much went off into a large array of topics. Grace was a wonderfully chatty guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our wandering ponderings in the podcast around shame and unconscious bias within and around the queer community, as well as many more fun queer topics. Please enjoy the episode and check out Grace's podcast Women Vs Everything. Thank you.

To The Max
In this episode I speak with Maxton (Max) Ó Floinn. He tells me all about the documentary episode he is in as part of TG4's Tabú series titled Tras (S02 E06) which can be found on TG4 Player. We also discuss his life pre- and post- the documentary in regards to his journey of self-discovery of his gender and the transition process that he has gone through that led to the Max (see what I did there?) whom I had the absolute pleasure to meet. Max was a wonderful guest and I hope I get the chance to have him on the podcast again sometime. I hope you all enjoy the episode.

In this episode I speak with Zoltán Csillag about his experiences with homophobia in Hungary comparatively to his life in Ireland, polyamorous relationships and marriages, and what Pride means to him. The main message Zoltán wanted to share was to remind us Irish folk to appreciate the progress we have made in our country in regards to the acceptance of and equality for queer people. Female Force
This episode is titled Female Force which is the working title of the film my fantastic guest, Sinead Huggins-Young, is currently fundraising for on GoFundMe. We discuss the origin and content of the film and the issues it will shed light on that female security regularly deal with. We go on to discuss Sinead's film background, her Valentine's Day plans and some of the homophobia herself and Esther Huggins-Young faced when planning their wedding. Esther joins us then and tells us a little about her workplace, LINC, a community resource centre for lesbians and bisexual women and their families in Cork and beyond. We also go through some issues from Episode 2 that needed correcting, clarification and an apology for the misrepresentation of the BDSM and lesbian communities. Enjoy!
