Busfahrer aus Leidenschaft
Loran Ismail geht jeden Tag mit Leidenschaft zur Arbeit. Er ist Busfahrer bei der HCR und kennt die Stadt wie seine Westentasche. Neben dem Busfahren genießt er den Kontakt mit den Fahrgästen. Und wir haben bei dem Gespräch mit Ismail gespürt, dass auch er gut bei den Menschen ankommt. Herne ist nach seiner Flucht aus Syrien seine Heimat geworden. Dennoch vermisst er seine Eltern, die nicht mit nach Deutschland gekommen sind.

Nähen verbindet
In dem Nähkurs der gfi herne entstand die Idee, Babykleidung für das Augusta-Krankenhaus in Bochum zu nähen. Am Samstag, den 14. Januar 2023 fand ein echter "Näh-Marathon" statt: stundenlang nähten fleißige Helferinnen und Helfer Mützchen, Strampler und Lätzchen für die ganz Kleinen im Krankenhaus. Eines von zahlreichen Projekten, mit denen die gfi helfen kann.
