تفہیم القرآن قرآن مجید کی تفسیر بقلم ابو الاعلی مودودی ہے۔ قرآن مجید کے ترجمہ و تفسیر پر اُردو زبان میں اتنا کام ہو چکا تھا کہ مولانا مودودی رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے صرف برکت اور سعادت کے لیے تفہیم القرآن تحریر نہیں کیا بلکہ انکا حقیقی مقصد یہ تھا کہ عام تعلیم یافتہ لوگوں تک روحِ قرآن اور اس کتابِ عظیم کا حقیقی مدعا پہنچ سکے۔ اس کے لیے انہوں نے لفظی ترجمہ کی بجائے آزاد ترجمانی کا طریقہ اختیار کیا تاکہ ادب کی تند وتیز اسپرٹ جو قرآن کی اصل عربی عبارت میں بھری ہوئی ہے وہ متاثر نہ ہو کیونکہ یہی تو وہ چیز ہے جوسنگ دل سے سنگ دل آدمی کا دل بھی پگھلا دیتی ہے
