Singabore, Chuck chickens out and Max goes back to back to back
It was a boring and eventful weekend in Singapore with a double podium for Verstappen and some questions being raised for the McLarens. Kimi pushed through the heat and made the podium, sealing his chances of winning his 1st title in Coda, Texas.
The two quiet boys are giving the others a run for their money. Briscoe and Bell are bringing some good, healthy competition, with no punching involved. At this point, it looks like Larson's the one to beat, and Uncle Denny is getting further and further from that potential title.

Was Bahhhhh Rain F:1’s Apollo 13 and the comeback kids!
Tubs and Kobi talk about the race from this past weekend. Baharin moved to the Malaysia track, which hasn't been used in years. Only a handful of drivers have raced on this track and loved it; will others be there now? It was unpredictable, but it produced a great race.
NASCAR is coming to an end, and Uncle Denny may not win it all, and Kyle may do it again.

Baku bites back and The Ford Colapinto crunch
Jim and Kobi kick things off with a Kevin Smith detour (Clerks, Clerks II and Dogma make the must-watch list) before diving into everything from the Baku Grand Prix. P19 to P1: Antonelli Ends Italy's 60-Year Monza Drought
Sixty years after Ludovico Scarfiotti last put an Italian on the top step at Monza, Kimi Antonelli ended the drought in front of a home crowd — and he did it the hard way. An engine penalty dropped the 20-year-old to 19th on the grid, leaving him almost the entire field to carve through. A red flag after Charles Leclerc's lap-two crash at the Parabolica reshuffled the strategy, and Antonelli seized it, working his way to the front and taking the lead by lap 18 before a late VSC pit stop set up the decisive pass on teammate George Russell with four laps to go.

Can the Kid Really Win It All?
At Spa-Francorchamps, Kimi Antonelli held off a hard-charging Charles Leclerc to win the Belgian Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen rounding out the podium in third. And get this — Verstappen actually snatched the lead from Antonelli right at the start, blasting past him through Eau Rouge, but couldn't make it stick. Antonelli fought back, survived a safety car restart, and then had to fend off Leclerc all over again before crossing the line just 1.9 seconds clear. That's win number six of the season for the young Mercedes driver.
But the real story of the day might be what happened to his own teammate. George Russell made contact with Lewis Hamilton, spun into the gravel, and was out early — a massive blow with serious implications for the championship battle. Hamilton recovered to finish fourth, Piastri came home fifth.
Now the paddock heads to Hungary for round eleven, July 24th through 26th.
Meanwhile, over in NASCAR, we saw history at North Wilkesboro Speedway — the first Cup Series points race there in three decades. And Joey Logano made sure it was one to remember. He led a career-best 323 laps and cruised to victory by just under a second over points leader Denny Hamlin, snapping a winless streak that stretched back to May of last year. Chase Briscoe and Bubba Wallace completed the top five, with Shane van Gisbergen and Carson Hocevar close behind.
It was a much-needed bright spot for Logano in an otherwise tough season — the win vaulted him from 17th up to 15th in the standings.

In Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton captured a massive milestone by scoring his first-ever Grand Prix victory driving for Ferrari at Barcelona-Catalunya, pulling off an aggressive three-stop strategy under a late Virtual Safety Car to lead an all-British podium alongside George Russell and Lando Norris—though it was heartbreak for championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who suffered a mechanical retirement with just four laps to go. Meanwhile, in the NASCAR Cup Series, Denny Hamlin stayed red-hot at Pocono, winning his third consecutive race for the first time in his 21-year career after his teammate Christopher Bell ran out of fuel while leading with four laps left. Hamlin took the checkered flag ahead of Tyler Reddick and William Byron, sweeping the weekend after a massive nine-car wreck early in Stage 2 had already knocked out several heavy hitters like Brad Keselowski and Bubba Wallace.

NASCAR: The sport is mourning the loss of two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, who passed away on May 21 at 41 after a sudden health crisis. Just days before his death, Busch had secured his record-extending 69th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win at Dover Motor Speedway. Daniel Suárez went on to win the Coca-Cola 600, the first Cup race following Busch's passing, and honored him in victory lane. Kyle Busch's wife and kids made their first public appearance at the 600, breaking down in tears during a moment of silence.
Formula 1: Mercedes is dominating the 2026 season, but the tension between their two drivers is becoming a major storyline. Mercedes leads the constructors' championship by 70 points, having won every grand prix so far in 2026, with Kimi Antonelli currently leading George Russell in the drivers' standings. The rivalry boiled over at the Canadian Grand Prix, where Russell retired with a power unit failure while Antonelli went on to win his fourth consecutive race and extend his championship lead to 43 points. Antonelli expressed frustration after their on-track battles, saying he came away from internal Mercedes team meetings with a different understanding of how Russell would defend his position. Over in NASCAR, Chase Elliott took the Würth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway, edging Denny Hamlin by just 0.407 seconds for his second win of the 2026 season. Several contenders including Logano, Larson, and Bell all had rough days and failed to finish.

We're Back! Hocevar's Big Win, F1 Regulations Tweaks, and Predictions for Miami
Race Control is BACK! After a break, we're diving straight into everything that's been happening across Formula 1 and NASCAR.
In Formula 1, we have been on a break due to the cancellation of both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix following the conflicts between Iran and the U.S. During this period, the FIA has made some tweaks to the 2026 regulations. We wonder if these changes will make a big impact or still leave us wanting more? Miami (A Sprint!) is this weekend, and we have some predictions.
NASCAR has kept us busy with three different races: Bristol, Kansas, and Talladega. This past weekend, Talladega delivered exactly what it always promises: carnage, chaos, and a moment nobody will forget. Carson Hocevar finally broke through for his first career Cup Series win. We saw a massive 26-car pileup take out half the field. It was one of the most dramatic days Talladega has seen in years.
Race Control is back in the booth, and we're just getting started.
