Aflevering 2 deel 1: Pablo Escobar en Nijlpaard Pepe, of de wonderbaarlijke gelijkenissen tussen twee zwaargewichten
<p>Eind jaren tachtig was Pablo Escobar zo belachelijk rijk dat hij alles kon kopen wat zijn hartje begeerde. Daar hoorde ook zijn eigen dierentuin bij. Hij liet een ware Ark van Noach aan wilde dieren verschepen naar zijn thuisland Colombia. Na zijn dood werden veel van de dieren overgeplaatst naar andere dierentuinen, maar de nijlpaarden lieten zich lastig vangen en maakten het zich gemakkelijk in de meertjes op Hacienda Nápoles, het uitgestrekte landgoed van Escobar. Totdat het territorium te krap werd.. Een paar nijpaarden trokken de wijde wereld in en veroorzaken daar nogal wat overlast. Aflevering 1: De onvermijdelijke comeback van Sención Minaya alias El Caballo indio
<p>Ze maakten in de jaren zeventig furore op Broadway<em>:</em> de Dominicaanse muzikant Sención Minaya en zijn band Los Quisqueyanos. Hun hitsingle <em>El Jangueador </em>is<em> </em>een<em> </em>superenergieke, aanstekelijke merengue waarin een speciale rol is weggelegd voor Sencións bijzondere geluid: zijn elektrische gitaar is bespannen zoals een Cubaanse tres. </p><p>Platenzaak De Waaghals uit Nijmegen-Arnhem besloot de single opnieuw uit te brengen op hun label Waaghals Records. </p><p>Met het Waaghals DJ Team reizen we af naar Amsterdam voor een bescheiden releasefeestje in platenwinkel Platypus op de Zeedijk. https://www.mixcloud.com/platypus_record_shop/penossi-radio-latin-special-team-waaghals/</p><p>We spreken Wouter, mede-eigenaar van de Waaghals, die de single ontdekte en ervoor zorgde dat hij opnieuw werd uitgebracht.
