When Helix, the Messenger Goddess of Sound, gets yanked from 1987 and sent to 1887 by the Goddess of Time after a nasty breakup, she must forge an alliance with two humans: Jesse, a young black cowboy seeking justice after his father's murder, and Charles, a gay conman with a mysterious past.
