S08E19 - Over DevDay, een bewuste Claude en Toms vuurdoop

Deevid is onverwacht afwezig, dus neemt collega Tom Vermeulen voor het eerst plaats achter de micro als co-host. Meteen een vuurdoop, want er gebeurde weer heel wat. OpenAI pakt op DevDay uit met Dots, always-on AI-assistenten die met hun eigen cloud computer in duizenden apps aan de slag gaan, en laat je voortaan je ChatGPT-abonnement gebruiken in apps van derden. Ook Google, Mistral en Meta hebben nieuwe modellen klaar: Gemini 4 Argon is zo krachtig dat voorlopig enkel cyberverdedigers het mogen gebruiken, Mistral Large 4 dingt mee naar de titel van beste Europese model, en Meta lanceert met Muse Wonder eindelijk zijn eerste frontier model. Verder bekijken Tom en Michiel de nieuwe usage policy van Anthropic, waarmee Claude gesprekken met ongepaste berichten kan beëindigen. Verbannen word je niet (sorry, VRT), maar het roept wel een grote vraag op: heeft Claude een bewustzijn? Tom sluit af met een tooltip over Wayfinder, een skill die AI-agents als verkenners de fog of war in stuurt, net zoals in Age of Empires. En in de watercooler show-off kraakt GPT-6 Astra een gecodeerde brief van Napoleon die 217 jaar onleesbaar bleef.

S08E17 - Over GPT-6 Astra, shadow AI en de roep om tragere vooruitgang
Welkom terug bij Radio Raccoons!
Een speciale aflevering deze week. Meer dan twee uur duurt ze, en toch hebben Deevid en Michiel enkel maar tech scoops en een deep dive voor jullie klaarstaan. Er is namelijk weer heel wat gebeurd de afgelopen weken… OpenAI neemt met GPT-6 Astra het woord AGI in de mond, al zetten zowel critici als de vergelijking met Claude Fable 5.1 daar meteen kanttekeningen bij. Dario Amodei pleit intussen voor een rem op de gehele sector, en Trump is het daar (uiteraard) roerend mee oneens. Verder duikt je Apple Watch voortaan je hele dag mee in je gesprekken (met je toestemming, belooft Apple), en in de deep dive gaan we op zoek naar shadow AI: de tool die je IT-afdeling nooit heeft goedgekeurd maar die iedereen toch gebruikt.
