Radioteatrets dramatisering av Kim Leine sin bok «Rød mann/sort mann». Vinneren av P2 lytternes Romanpris. Den nyutnevnte presten Lauritz kommer til Grønland i 1764. Han skal gjenoppta misjoneringen der etter Hans Egede, Grønlands apostel. For ikke å mislykkes med sin gjerning, undersøker han hva som gikk galt med det tidlige danske forsøket på kolonisering av Grønlenderne 35 år tidligere. Han finner rystende historie om feilslåtte ambisjoner, bloddryppende kjærlighet, brennende hat, grusomme fiaskoer, død, drukkenskap og ondskap.
