Daily Intercession to St. Nicholas of Tolentine
<p><strong>Hear, O Lord, the prayer which we offer you,</strong></p> <p><strong>made worthy by the intercession</strong></p> <p><strong>of your faithful servant</strong></p> <p><strong>and our protection St. Nicholas</strong></p> <p><strong>whose witness during life on earth</strong></p> <p><strong>was pleasing to you as his prayer is now in heaven.</strong></p> <p><strong>We recognize our weaknesses and our sins,</strong></p> <p><strong>but we trust in the fraternal aid of St. Nicholas</strong></p> <p><strong>whom you, O Lord, wished to raise up</strong></p> <p><strong>in our midst as a sign and instrument of your providence.</strong></p> <p><strong>Sustain us with your prayer,</strong></p> <p><strong>O St. Nicholas, and do not abandon us,</strong></p> <p><strong>because we who invoke you as protector</strong></p> <p><strong>know that in you we have a valid model of Christian life,</strong></p> <p><strong>and a powerful incentive for advancing in goodness and virtue.</strong></p> <p><strong>We desire to have, O St. Nicholas,</strong></p> <p><strong>your faith, your hope and your charity in order</strong></p> <p><strong>to be more grateful to the Lord and worthier</strong></p> <p><strong>to be heard, but finding ourselves so poor we trust</strong></p> <p><strong>in the infinite goodness and mercy</strong></p> <p><strong>of the Lord obtained for us</strong></p> <p><strong>by your powerful intercession.</strong></p> <p><strong>Amen…</strong></p>
