Episode 72 : Are You Growing Spiritually—or Just Going to Church?
Are you actually growing spiritually—or have you become comfortable simply going to church?
It’s possible to attend church, listen to sermons, read the Bible, and even consider yourself a strong Christian, while still staying stuck in the same patterns, reactions, fears, and ways of thinking.
In this episode of Raising Daniels: Healing Parents, Building Courage, Leaving Legacy, we’re taking an honest look at what spiritual growth really looks like.
Spiritual growth isn’t about being perfect or knowing everything. It’s about allowing God to transform us from the inside out—to become more like Jesus in the way we think, respond, love, forgive, handle pressure, and live our everyday lives.
We’ll talk about:
• The difference between going to church and actually growing in your walk with God• Why knowing Scripture isn’t always the same as allowing Scripture to change us• How Romans 12:2 challenges us to let God transform the way we think• Why being teachable and willing to examine ourselves is part of spiritual maturity• How our unresolved wounds and coping patterns can affect our relationships and parenting• Why real growth often requires us to become uncomfortable and honest with ourselves• How our spiritual growth can influence the legacy we leave for our children
And here’s the question I want you to sit with:
Am I simply learning about God—or am I allowing Him to change me?
Because our children don’t just learn from what we tell them about faith. They also learn from the way we live it.
If you’re ready to grow deeper, become more aware of your patterns, and allow God to work in the places that still need healing, this conversation is for you.
📖 Scripture: Romans 12:2 (NLT)
