He was arrested on 10 December while taking photos of the silent strike in Latha Township, Yangon, and killed as a result of torture by junta security forces. "He's a quiet person who doesn't talk a lot. I can't believe it," a closed friend told BAP. With him, one photographer was also arrested but BAP was unable to confirm it. About 90 people were killed in the interrogation following their arrest and Ko Soe Naing became the first journalist killed in the interrogation. Burma Associated Press
