Ramt.nu Podcast #30 - Sølund Festival
Sølund Festival er verdens største musikfestival for mennesker med udviklingshandicaps, og har gennem 40 år skabt et unikt kulturelt fællesskab. Festivalen er langt mere end musik, den bygger på tanken om kulturel ligestilling, hvor deltagerne skal kunne være maksimalt mennesker og minimum handicappede. I denne podcastepisode har vi besøg af festivalleder Sarah Theibel Mortensen og medarbejder Jesper Gadegaard, som begge er passionerede ildsjæle. De fortæller om, hvordan festivalen fungerer som et frirum fyldt med respekt, omsorg og fordomsfrihed, hvor mennesker med funktionsnedsættelser kan være sig selv og deltage i kulturlivet på lige fod med alle andre. Men arbejdet med at skabe dette rum er ikke uden udfordringer, der kræves vedholdenhed, engagement og et stærkt fokus på værdighed og inkludering. Episoden giver indblik i festivalens betydning, dens historiske rødder og hvorfor den fortsat er så vigtig.
