<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);">كنت وأختي الكبرى، ضحية تحريض الشيوخ لأبي، ولكثير من الآباء، على بناتهن. يذهب الأب يوماً إلى الصلاة في أحد المساجد، ويجلس بعدها يستمع إلى الدرس الديني، يعود إلى البيت بقرار أن بناته سيرتدين الحجاب حتى دون موافقتهن، فهن هكذا عاصيات مذنبات</span></p><p style="text-align:right;"> </p><p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);">استطاع أولئك المتنطعون، القائمون على "قناة الناس" السيطرة على عقول الكثيرين، ومن ضمنهم أمي التي لم تكُفّ عن ترديد جملة: "الشيخ على قناة الناس قال حرام!"</span></p><p style="text-align:right;"> </p><p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);">رأيت الشيخ يحرّض الناس ليل نهار على الزهد واستبدال الدنيا بالآخرة: "ربنا أصابك بالفقر عشان شايلك في الجنة كتير"، وهو يتقاضى نظير "جلسة النصح" هذه آلاف الدولارات، ويعيش بقصر ويتنقل بسيارة أشبه بالطائرة</span><br><br> </p>

<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);">في عام 1838، شرح الرحالة الإيراني ميرزا فتاح كرمرودي، مدينة إسطنبول: "الوضع في مدينة إسلامبول مستقر، وكأن الله تعالى لم يخلق مكاناً بهذا الجلال والفضاء في جميع الممالك، ويحيط بها من ثلاثة جوانب، البحر المتوسط والبحر الأسود"</span></p><p style="text-align:right;"></p><p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:hsl(0, 0%, 0%);">كتب عبد الصمد ميرزا سالور، الذي مر بهذه المدينة عام 1873، متجهاً إلى أوروبا، في ذكرياته عن شوارع إسطنبول: “كانت الأزقة قذرةً وسيئةً للغاية، وتحديداً مثل أزقة طهران، حيث تتجول الكلاب وتتواجد الأوساخ ويتطاير الغبار في الهواء، وفي طريقنا عبرنا من منطقة باب همايون، ولذلك اضطررنا إلى ركوب قوارب ضيقة وطويلة للغاية”</span><br></p>
