Rays of Sunshine

About Rays of Sunshine

We all know of a teacher, a family member, a friend, an author, or a singer that has made a profound impact on our life. One small piece of advice, some encouragement, a lesson learnt or a powerful story that has changed the way we think about the world, the opportunities we strive for in life and the dreams we believe achievable. We call these people Rays of Sunshine. In this podcast, I will be interviewing my community, my friends and my family, who I believe are Rays of Sunshine, to talk about the great things they are doing and also ask them who it was that gave them an all-important boost that transformed their life. The goal is to brighten up your day and uplift your spirit as you hear their inspiring stories. And encourage you to strive to be a ray of sunshine in someone else’s day. These stories will remind us that the smallest moments can have the biggest impact. The Ray of Sunshine series is linked to The Rainbow Boosters Project where we’re supporting underprivileged children by connecting them to the internet and a community, to ensure they don’t get left behind in a digital world. Rays of Sunshine - Ray Kimble

Welcome to the final episode of the first season of Rays of Sunshine! We've had an incredible journey so far, and in this episode, we have a very special guest joining us. I am thrilled to welcome Ray Kimble, the Founder and Chairman of the Kuma Foundation, a dear friend, and the third partner in making Kuma Labs and the Rainbow Boosters Project a reality. In our very first episode, we had the privilege of speaking with Navanath Shinde and hearing his amazing story, as well as discussing our partnership in this project. Now, as we wrap up this season, we are honored to have Ray Kimble share his insights and experiences with us. Ray and I have known each other for almost a decade, working together, becoming friends, and supporting each other along the way. We've not only worked hard together but also celebrated together across the world. In this episode, you'll hear how our shared experiences led us to make a real difference in another community. When I first had the idea for the Rainbow Boosters Project, I knew I had to bring it to Ray because of the incredible team and foundation he has built at the Kuma Foundation. Their belief that all kids deserve a chance at a high-tech future resonated deeply with me. The Kuma Foundation is committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of gender, race, or zip code, have access to essential STEAM skills. Their programs empower kids with the tools they need to succeed in the 21st century. It was clear that our values aligned perfectly, making this partnership work on so many levels. As we conclude this season, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the support, comments, and feedback we have received. Your engagement has been truly inspiring. I hope you enjoy our conversation with Ray Kimble, as we reflect on the journey we've taken together. Stay tuned for more exciting episodes in the future. Thank you for joining me on this very personal adventure! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

Rays of Sunshine - Hash Chavda

In this episode I'm really excited to be speaking with Hash Chavda. Professionally Hash is a powerhouse commercial deal shifter and negotiator with over 20 years experience in the IT industry. Personally, she's my big sister, well technically she's my cousin but with her 3 other sisters I'd spend most of my Christmases and summer holidays so we've always felt like one unit. Hash is one of my personal Rays of Sunshine, I feel like she showed me what a successful career looks like, what life-long strong friendships look like, that the world is small and you can live, work and thrive wherever you want. Proactively and sub-consciously she taught me how to respect women, and how challenging it is for women, especially from a South Asian background but most of all she taught me to laugh.
