<p>Maria Aguila, PT, DPT is the owner of Life in Motion PT in Jersey City, NJ and hopes to inspire not just her local community but her fellow Filipinos to make physical activity part of their lifestyle through Movement Merienda. She is &nbsp;an Adjunct Instructor at the Rutgers Newark DPT Program and the Capstone Coordinator for the Philippines based tDPT Program of the University of Montana/Rehab Essentials. She served as Council Director for the APTANJ as liaison to the Cultural Diversity Committee. She is also part of the APTA Staff Work Group for IEPTs and the HPA GHSig Social Media Committee. She is also a founding officer and current President of a non- profit organization, FUTURE Foundation, which aims to advocate for the PT Profession globally. She has participated and lectured in various topics related to clinical practice and community service locally and Internationally. She was a recipient of the Societal Impact Award from the APTA National in 2019, Distinguished Alumni Award from Rutgers in 2019, FEUNRMF Most Outstanding Alumni Award in Career Achievement in 2016 and Leadership Award in 2021. Maria and Ben with their kids, Christian and Chelsea also serves in their local parish in Livingston, NJ.</p> <p><br></p>
