We describe the world around us with names. Without names, it would be quite difficult to interact with the world, and the same applies to fictional worlds too. However, while names in the real world can be determined by a wide range of preexisting factors, how do you come up with names in fiction that are true to the story, appropriate for its settings and tone, while also being memorable and interesting? Earlier this season, we've compared physical books with digital books, and the reading experience on both. This week, we take that discussion to the world of audiobooks. We explore some of the obvious pros and cons, as well as some not so obvious ones.
