[…] You're looking at the strategy top down, which is what we did before a platform level. And then you're saying, okay, can this management team execute? Best form to look at is their track record. Have they done this before? Again, very similar. Who's the management team? Who's your partner? That's so important, especially in emerging markets. But as an LP, we're giving up a lot of governance rights, if not all. We're relying on this team to execute on behalf of our capital. The trust factor is so important. Those are the same. There's differences, right? Like I did a much more pre-money valuation and I had a say on that on the direct side versus an LP. […]
