301: Living in Madison Heights, Michigan: Home Prices, Taxes & What to Know | Living In Michigan

What is it actually like living in Madison Heights, Michigan? In this episode of Living in Michigan, Andrew McManamon breaks down one of Oakland County’s most overlooked Metro Detroit suburbs, including where Madison Heights is located, current home prices, property taxes, school district boundaries, housing styles, restaurants, parks, highway access, and the biggest pros and cons to consider before moving there. Madison Heights sits directly at I 75 and I 696, bordering communities like Royal Oak, Troy, Hazel Park, and Warren, while offering a median home price well below much of the surrounding market. But affordability is only part of the story. Property taxes can vary significantly depending on the specific school district, much of the housing stock dates back to the postwar era, and buyers should understand the city’s older infrastructure before purchasing. We also cover Madison Heights’ growing food scene, Red Oaks Park, Planet Rock, proximity to Downtown Detroit and Royal Oak, what buyers should inspect in older brick ranches, and why homes here have been moving faster than the broader Southeast Michigan market. If you’re considering moving to Madison Heights, relocating to Metro Detroit, or simply comparing Oakland County communities, this episode will help you understand what living here is really like before you make a decision.CONTACT ME 👇📱Call or Text: 810-360-3488 📨Email: Andrew@LivingInMichigan.com🌐 www.LivingInMichigan.com📅Schedule a Phone Consultation: → https://livinginmichigan.com/contact/📘 Michigan Relocation Guide: → https://conta.cc/3Def6udSUBSCRIBE ⬇️→YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/2LoYJV3→Weekly Newsletter: https://shorturl.at/4u0VAOTHER GREAT VIDEO PLAYLISTS 📽→Places To Live In Michigan: https://bit.ly/3QcV3lT→Michigan Information: https://bit.ly/3mJ8a0z→Things To Do In Michigan: https://bit.ly/3xp7Fhc→Living In Michigan Tours: https://bit.ly/3aUkw36→Michigan For Sale: https://bit.ly/3NMO5T2→Real Estate News & Information: https://bit.ly/3mIZUxvFOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA 📲 →Instagram: https://instagram.com/andrew.mcmanamon→Facebook: https://facebook.com/andrewmcmanamonr...→Twitter: https://twitter.com/andrewmcmanamon→LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/andrew-mcmanamon→DIY Home Inspiration: https://instagram.com/diyhometransfor...LISTEN TO MY PODCAST 🎙️→Real Estate In The Mitten: https://shorturl.at/9u0oX-----------------------------Andrew McManamon is a licensed Real Estate Professional with Signature Sotheby's International Realty.
