[…] The note business should absolutely understand the real estate business because it all evolves around that property value. So if we're looking at real property value, What's it worth? It's important to come up with that valuation number. So in the past, we've always relied upon BPOs. BPOs are typically done by a licensed real estate agent. that goes out to the property, observes, makes an opinion based upon the outside of the property, they go back to the office, they run their comparable sales analysis, probably through MLS and other services that they have available to them to come up with the three best comparable sales, homes that are the most similar and have sold the most recently in a close proximity as possible, and they do the same thing with listings.
