   Human Dignity

Human life is sacred, and it is the most central and clearest reflection of God. Human dignity is the recognition that human beings possess a special value to their humanity and as such are worthy of respect, simply because they are human beings. Every human being irrespective of age, religion, education, class, status is to be treated with value and respect. Be kind to others, don't rob anyone of their dignity.

Value your self enough to add value to yourself.

Thoughtfulness is the consideration for the needs of other people, today I want to talk to you about being considerate towards yourself. It is important to know that you are important and you need to pay attention to your needs, it is important that you add value to yourself, the quality of your input will tell on the quality of your output, when you put nothing inside you will get nothing on the outside. And the truth is that people value you based on the value you add to them. You can't remain the way you used to be, you have to grow, and it is your sole responsibility to add that value to you. To be relevant in today's world you have to bring something to the table. It is important to spend time to tend to your self, to learn a skill, to increase your knowledge base, to be a problem solver. It's time to be deliberate and intentional towards adding to yourself.

    Good, better and best.

Good, better, best never let it rest untill your good is better and your better is best. If you can remember this famous quote from way back. I stumbled into it and it sure brought back memories, that brought back memories. This famous quote was written my St. Jerome who lived between 347and 420AD. What a long time you would say, he was a theologian and a historian who was best known for his translation of most of the Bible into Latin and also his commentaries on the gospel as well. And this quote taught me some things. 1. To never give up, never settle for less than the best. 2. Growth is a process where you have to move from one stage to another. 3. To strive to be the number one in all my endeavors, even though the process of growth can be uncomfortable, but I have learnt to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

    Exhale

Exhale means to breathe out the air in your lungs. When you breathe out, your lungs pushes air out, reducing the carbon dioxide in your body and making room for you to inhale oxygen. I know that a lot has been happening in the past weeks now. From the killing of George floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA, to the rape and killing of Uwa a student at Uniben, to the death of a young girl Tina who was shot by a police and the most recent one, the rape and killing of an 18 years old Barakat in Ibadan close to her dad's house. All these events have been happening back to back and this is enough to weigh our spirits and soul down and to make us question all that has been happening. More than just the physical exercise of exhaling. Exhale the days trouble, fear, toxic thoughts, worry ,exhale bitterness, anger, frustration, disappointments and give room to inhale goodness, positively, faith, trust in God ,inhale peace, rest, joy, stillness, by focusing on what brings you rest. DON'T FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL . You can pray for yourself and others and today I pray for those struggling to see the light in the darkness, I ask that God shines his light a bit brighter in our world. May we find peace that surpasses all understanding, may every feeling of depression, anxiety doubt give way to hope, joy, love ,peace and unexplainable gladness .Amen

    Shortcuts

Shortcuts means taking the easiest route possible to get something done or to arrive at a place. In my experience it means cutting the journey short. But I have also learned that there is no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. It takes diligent effort to build something worth while. Let me share my story. I usually take a walk or run on the thread mill every day for 30minutes, and the footwear I put on is usually difficult to wear, so on this very day I decided to wear another footwear I considered easy wear. Shortly when I got on the thread mill I almost fell off backwards because the footwear didn't give me the right balance. I dropped and went back to pick the other footwear and continued my walk. While at it I kept thinking about 2 things. 1. I would have gotten injured, may be hit my head on the floor, fractured my hands, legs or may be something serious all because I wanted something easy. 2. I wasted my precious time because I had to go back to get the other footwear all because I wanted something easier. This made me compare my experience with daily life's experiences of how we always want to choose the easy way out. The shorter path to achieving out set goals. We say to ourselves we don't want the difficulties, the challenges , the stress. Not realizing that these shortcuts can cut you. It's like taking one step forward and two steps backwards. A great journey is never an easy one. Work the work, go through the process, be diligent at it. Don't take the shortcuts, it can cut you.

Did you know, you become what you think about?

yes, your life goes in the direction of your predominant thought. Have you heard these words, garbage in garbage out? What ever you put in is what you get on the outside. What you plant is what you will harvest. If you think happy, you will be happy, if you think Sad, you will have sad. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. It is what ever, no emphasis on good or bad, anything goes. But you can change that by intentionally and strategically choosing what you think about. Remember this, that your eyes are like a camera, it snaps what ever you focus on, and your mind is like a photographers dark room where he processes the images taken by the camera. Don't think for a moment that you don't have the power to direct your thoughts. You do, and you can set the rules, call the shots and choose your thoughts in the multitude of what comes to your mind, intentionally select. Choose whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, praiseworthy, things that have virtue. Think Innovations, and ideas. You can have a vision board to help you. Treat yourself well and be safe.

    I have a dream

Like Martin Luther King Jr. We all have a dream, we have that cherished aspirations or ideal that we have written down in an old book kept somewhere underneath your suitcase, or is it carefully tucked somewhere on your book shelf, forgotten about because you must have written it a long time ago. Do you have a dream? Have you talked yourself out of it because you thought it's impossible to achieve , to ambiguous to attain. Is yours like mine, when I shared it with a friend he told me it sounds too idealistic. I have a dream that one day we will have a Nation with true leadership, with true leaders who sincerely and genuinely care for the people. Leaders who are more relational than they are transactional. Who are development driven, people driven more than they are selfish driven. You can start living your dream, it's never too early, you are never to young, it is never to late, you are never too old. You can do anything you put your mind to. The earth, the world Is waiting for you to replenish it with that dream God had put inside of you. And yes you can!!!!!!!!!

    Looking Beyond the clouds

Beyond the clouds the sun still shines. When the clouds gather, then the rain falls and afterwards the sun comes shining. What ever the clouds represents, always know that no matter how long it stays, soon the break of light will will come, soon that idea will come bursting, soon that break will come hitting. There is a sunny sunshine after the rain. So remember this week to be positive, live, love and hope. The world is yours for the taking and God created it for you to dominate. The only boundaries are your own perspective and your perceptions. Remember You can reach farther than your fingers, and leap higher than your doubts.

    Enjoying the simple things

In a fast paced world, with the pressure to become, to impress and achieve , we overlook the simple things, that make life and living worth the while. Dont miss a great season in your life wishing you had more, complaining about what you don't have. The real joy in life is in the simple things. God has you in the palm of his hands , he knows where you are, what you like and what you don't and he will make things alright.
