Perseverance is the focus of our message today. Following Jesus isn’t always easy, and life’s trials can test our faith. But we’re reminded that this world is not our true home. Our real citizenship is in God’s eternal kingdom, and that truth changes how we face the struggles of this life.
Perseverance means holding on to our faith and continuing to trust God, even when it’s hard. In a culture that prizes instant results and quick fixes, Christians are called to endurance and long-term faithfulness. This isn’t passive waiting, it’s an active, daily choice to rely on God’s strength and to keep pressing forward until the end.
As we talk about perseverance, we’ll look at how hope in Christ anchors us when everything else feels uncertain, and how the church family helps us stand strong together as we wait for the return of Jesus.
Takeaways:
Perseverance is essential for every Christian walking through life’s challenges.
Endurance takes daily commitment and dependence on God’s strength.
The hope we have in Jesus anchors us in difficult times.
We need each other—Christian community provides accountability, encouragement, and support in the journey of faith.

We delve into the implications of living a life that reflects God's character, emphasizing that holiness transcends mere avoidance of wrongdoing; it embodies a commitment to align ourselves with Christ and His teachings. Throughout our conversation, we explore the critical distinction between being in the world and not of it, and how our allegiance to Christ should fundamentally shape our identities, rather than our affiliations to any denomination or earthly entity. As we navigate the complexities of faithfulness and loyalty, we also address the contemporary challenges faced by Christians in a society rife with division and misunderstanding. Ultimately, we encourage our listeners to examine where their true allegiance lies and to strive for a life that radiates the light of Christ amid darkness.

Understanding the Nature of Division in the Church
Season Topic: Living int he Last Days
Email us your questions @: reallife@ccbakersfield.com!
This episode looks at division within the church and how God can use it for good. While division is often seen as harmful, Scripture shows that it can expose what is genuine and refine the faith of God’s people. We talk about how standing on biblical truth sometimes leads to painful separations, especially when the pressure to follow culture is strong. These divisions are not just failures of unity but reminders that faithfulness to God’s Word often requires hard choices. Our focus is on holding firm to truth, even when it sets us apart from the world.
Key Takeaways
Division in the church, though painful, can serve God’s purpose by refining believers.
Staying true to Scripture matters more than fitting in with modern cultural beliefs.
Church health should be measured by faithfulness to God’s Word, not size or popularity.
Christians are called to stand firm in a culture that increasingly resists biblical truth.
Church splits throughout history can be seen as opportunities for growth and clarity.
Division can ultimately strengthen believers’ commitment to God’s truth.
