Maxed Out Mindset: Real Talk | Maxwell Stevens - 061

You recently got your license and are excited about selling your first home. But three months later, it hasn’t happened, the bills are piling up, and you need to put food on the table. It kind of makes you want to give up. Listen to our chat with Maxwell Stevens, a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Pocono Realtor, for inspiration. He shares his real estate journey and offers practical advice on turning dreams into reality. Maxwell Stevens' Journey into the Real Estate Industry Despite Maxwell’s family being a part of the real estate industry for years, he felt it wasn’t the right path for him. After spending a few years traveling and in various sectors, he landed in the credit card processing business. The credit card industry didn’t give him the return he wanted, so he decided to enter the world of real estate. Through strength, drive, and self-improvement, Maxwell discovered the success he has today. His journey into real estate proves that getting that one more "yes" can lead to life-changing opportunities for your business. Overcoming the Downsides of Real Estate After receiving his real estate license, Maxwell was a bartender, barely making ends meet while trying to rebuild his life. Despite struggling to find clients, he focused more on his mental health, emotional, and physical well-being. He found that by focusing on these areas, everything else started to come together for him. Learn How to Say No When starting in real estate, it's easy to say yes to everything. Maxwell explains that this is a mistake and actually does a disservice to yourself. Real estate agents have numerous tasks to manage to keep their business running, and taking on too much leads to burnout. Following the quote, "Honor yourself so you can honor others," will help protect your time and peace of mind. Maxwell's Brand: What's Making Him Stand Out After hearing Alan Dalton speak about the "forever agent" and relationships over transactions, Maxwell knew this was the type of message he wanted for his brand. He focuses on putting himself in the shoes of someone buying a house and considering how he would want to be treated throughout the process. This allows him to build a brand that's friendly, pressure-free, and consultative, ready to help prospects find their home. “Real estate school taught me the legalities and regulations. But it didn’t teach me how to do real estate until I was put in the fire.” - Maxwell Stevens. The Secrets to Scaling: How to Leverage VA's in Your Business | Justin Berry - 060

What is one thing that seems like you never have enough of every single day? Time, especially as a real estate agent who is building a business, maintaining a household, and trying to find peace of mind by the end of the day. A virtual assistant might be able to give you peace of mind, and our special guest, Justin Berry, will tell you how. Join us in this wonderful conversation with the founder of Hire Today VA, and hear how a VA can help you run your real estate business. Meet Justin Berry Justin joined the real estate industry as an appraiser over 20 years ago, hoping it would fuel his dream of being in a rock band. Over time, he realized he wasn’t going to get the freedom he desired and decided to start his own real estate business, thanks to the help of his lovely wife. After watching his wife spend all day on his emails and become stressed, he decided to hire a VA to help her out. Surprisingly, it did wonders for her health, and the VA was able to streamline their real estate business. Now, he helps business owners buy back their time by building remote teams that actually work. Through Hire Today VA, he strives to empower others to make their dreams come true without sacrificing precious time at home. The Unique Advantage of Hire Today VA The thing about being a real estate agent is that you want to be able to do everything because you believe that you’re the only one who can do it right. However, this is why you’re stressing out so much! Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to hire someone at a decent rate who can take care of the administrative work of running a business? The problem is, when you hire friends or old clients, they don’t commit to the task. You take all the time to train them, but they leave within six months or a year. The States tend to see administrative work as not real work, but individuals in other countries love it! This is what makes Justin’s company stand out from others: he finds Virtual Assistants from different countries who have four-year degrees and real experience to help real estate owners relieve stress. There’s talent all over the world, so don’t just limit yourself to finding someone who can help you find more hours in your days in the States. Behind the Scenes of Justin’s Company Justin shares why there are downsides to hiring a virtual assistant from Fiverr and Upwork. Usually, these individuals aren’t committed to helping your business grow and are only there for a short time. Using a platform like his allows you to find someone who will be there for years to come, like his assistant, Ann. He also details Hire Today VA's onboarding system for assistants and business owners. His wife and Ann provide a corporate-level experience by helping owners find the right assistant and run their businesses in a way that works for them. Assistants receive 75 hours of training in QuickBooks, sales, and social media. “As an employer, you want to be able to build space so that people can build a dream inside your dream.” - Justin Berry. Why Your Clients Don’t Trust You and How to Fix It | Tiffany & Ashlee - 059

How important is trust when it comes to closing deals in real estate? Without it, you might not make it too far in this industry. And if you’re unsure how to build trust with your clients, listen to this episode. We’re sharing details on what can make or break a client’s trust with real estate agents. Why Is Trust Important in Real Estate? Since you’re in a business of selling, clients will automatically wonder if you’re there to actually help them or just take their money. Even though they’re coming to you to find or sell a home, they still want to be able to trust you as a person. If they don’t trust you or think you’re being too salesy, they may start becoming uncooperative and begin working with another real estate agent. Ashlee also shares how important it is for real estate agents to be able to trust their clients. She remembers when a client became hesitant and guarded during their transaction — and how that client ended up searching for another agent. Having a strong bond and trust level between an agent and client helps prevent challenges, miscommunications, and reduces uncertainty during the transaction. Agents who establish trust from the beginning are able to create long-lasting relationships and credibility that keep clients coming back. What Can Break Trust in a Client-Real Estate Agent Relationship? Certain things will get a client to distrust you quicker than you think: Overpromising: If you know you’re not going to deliver contracts at a specific time or fulfill a specific request by a certain date, let your client know. Overpromising or underdelivering can make it seem like you’re unable to get things done when they need to be. Lack of communication: People like to know what’s going on even when they’re not asking questions. If everything is smooth sailing, text your client and let them know that everything is okay. If there’s a problem, don’t wait until the last minute to let them know. Hidden fees or last-minute changes: You wouldn’t like it if someone told you about hidden costs that were higher than expected at the last minute. If you notice a change or leave out a detail about costs, let your client know. Feeling unheard: Clients have questions all the time, and if you’re not making time to listen to their concerns, they’ll start losing trust in you as their agent. No, they don’t have to call you in the middle of the night, but be sure to find the time to check in and address any unanswered questions or problems. How To Build and Maintain Trust Building relationships with clients isn’t hard — all you have to do is start by setting realistic timelines, potential costs, and possible challenges throughout the process. Also, remember to communicate updates or problems with them on time and listen to their concerns if they have any. “Clients don’t just need you to be knowledgeable — they need to feel like you’re genuinely on their side. If they sense you’re not being upfront, trust is gone.” - Ashlee Jankovich. “Exactly. It’s not enough to have the right answers — you have to show them you’re listening and that their concerns actually matter.” - Tiffany Klusacek. Resources ✉️ Need help crafting emails?
