I'm back in Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania — my motherland — and I am settling in, softening, and sharing everything. In this episode I talk about carrying my dad's ashes across the country through fires, flooded routes, and a purple Jeep postmaster on a Kansas dirt road. I get honest about recognizing my own daddy wound in real time when a boy showed up late and I felt that familiar anxious waiting — and the shadow work that cracked open on the bike path. I share the chaos of the ex who left my LA apartment destroyed — mold, wood chips, a $2,500 junk removal — and the loser energy I finally decided I was done carrying.
And then the turn. Reconnecting with someone I haven't seen in 25 years. My niece. My family. My roots. A broken toilet. Mom with her hands in a tank. Life after a rough spell finally feeling easy and good.
