Podcast Overview

It started fast. Only four months after learning how to DJ, in 2000, Rebecca was given a residency at the Exchange nightclub in Boston. Then more clubs. She split her time between the studio, gigs on the radio (like WERS 88.9FM), and her day job at the Sound Factory record store. She did not sleep. She leveled up in 2002, moved to Los Angeles, and became a fixture at West Coast staples like Spundae. Then she went national: For years she jetted back-and-forth to perform in Miami, Denver, San Francisco, New York, Vegas, and seemingly every stop in between. Her interests in nightlife extend beyond the DJ booth; as the head of operations at Wantickets, she managed the front-of-house at events like Ultra Music Festival. Rebecca is semi-retired from playing in clubs, but you can spot her in the 2018 movie Girl, where she was featured as one of seven top female DJs. Austin is now her hub, and a few times a year she’ll spend a month in a random city (with upcoming stints in New Orleans, Prague, Honolulu) as a digital nomad. And she’s still in the game: every month Rebecca releases a new mix: Sincast
