<p>This week’s guest is Derek Kenny. Derek is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Cornerstone Global Partner in Hong Kong. He has worked in the fields of HR and recruitment for over 20 years. Derek began his career working as a door-to-door fundraiser for the &nbsp;Dublin charity Gorta. While he worked for Gorta, a CEO of an American recruitment company, who was taken with Derek’s easy acceptance of rejection and his ability to move onto the next door approached Derek with a job offer. Due to this, Derek’s career in the recruitment and human resources industry started to bloom.</p> <p>To date, he has worked in recruitment in Australia, parts of the Middle East, Ireland and Hong Kong. His current venture, Cornerstone Global Partners has won many awards for HR and recruiting, including the Best Recruitment Firm and Best Innovation in Recruitment awards in the 2018 Human Resources Asia RecruitmentAwards. Neill and Bruce sit with Derek to discuss his career, it’s challenges and the lessons he has learnt along the way.</p>
