<p>For most of his life, Chris Blackeby battled a debilitating illness that doctors struggled to explain. Exposure to toxic levels of lead, aluminum, and mercury during childhood left him fighting symptoms that steadily eroded his health, yet somehow he kept moving forward.</p><p>His body was weak, but his mind and heart were resilient.</p><p>As a young adult, Chris was rapidly rising in business and on the path to making millions. At the same time, his ministry was growing as his influence continued to expand. The future seemed bright. The next logical step? Marriage.</p><p>But just as Chris was preparing to propose, he discovered the woman he loved was living a double life. The heartbreak shattered him. What years of illness had failed to accomplish, a broken heart did almost overnight.</p><p>His health rapidly deteriorated, and doctors gave him only months to live.</p><p>Convinced he was nearing the end, Chris sold everything he owned and purchased a round-the-world plane ticket, intending to spend his final days traveling.
