S4EP1 - From Abroad to Europe: Building a Research Career - Sinan

From Abroad to Europe: Building a Research Career

Where current scientists talk to future scientists

--

Welcome to the first episode in English!

Today, I am happy and honored to introduce one of my friends for the very first English episode of Behind Research.

We discussed many topics, such as how he came to Sweden, especially as a non-European, how he decided to pursue a PhD and then a postdoc, and what he basically does in his daily work.

I wanted to start with him because even though we ended up in the same position, in the same lab, as postdocs, we had a totally different experiences before. I think this makes his journey particularly interesting to share with you. If you are a student, this episode shows that not everything is fixed and that you can create your own pathway.

Anyway, I hope you will enjoy it!

--

Online on : 21 January 2026

__

How to reach me ?

Social Media : Basiology

Linkedin : Perrine BURDEYRON

Email : basiologysciences@gmail.com

__

An original podcast from : Basiology

Host : Perrine BURDEYRON

Editing and artistic production : Perrine BURDEYRON

Music : EnergyMinning - BlueBerrytree

__

Did you enjoy the podcast and want to support Behind Research ?

Rate the podcast on your listening platform (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Audible, etc.).
