The Path Lit Up
The Path Lit Up | Reclaiming Her Podcast — Episode 9
What happens when you know you're being called toward something, but you're not sure you're capable of becoming it?
In Episode 9 of Reclaiming Her, Shauna shares the beginning of her mediumship journey—from believing mediums are simply "born with the gift," to receiving a powerful intuitive download telling her it was finally time to pursue mediumship.
Then, just one day after making that decision, an unexpected message from her friend Shanaz leads her to the exact mediumship course she needed.
Shauna takes you inside her first mediumship class, her experience with sitting in the power, and the exercise that gave her the first real evidence that she could actually develop her mediumship abilities.
But the biggest lesson wasn't about getting every answer right.
It was learning to trust her first intuitive knowing instead of immediately second-guessing herself.
This episode explores intuition, mediumship, psychic development, spiritual awakening, trusting yourself, overcoming self-doubt, grief, healing, and what happens when you finally take the next step without knowing exactly where it will lead.

The ‘Yes’ That Opened the Door
The Yes That Opened the Door
Have you ever felt pulled toward something you couldn't quite explain?
A course. A career change. A creative idea. A spiritual practice. Something you've wanted to try for years, but instead of following that little nudge, you start asking yourself:
Do I have the time?
Is it worth the money?
What will people think?
What if I'm not good at it?
What if I don't know where it's going?
I've lived that way too.
But there was one point in my life when I did something very unlike me.
I said yes before I had all the answers.
I didn't even really know what Reiki was.
My friend Kim called me from a crystal shop and invited me to take a Reiki Level 1 and 2 course with her. I hadn't researched it. I didn't have a plan. I was simply curious.
And that one little yes opened a door I didn't even know I was looking for.
In this episode, I share:
✨ How I unexpectedly found Reiki
✨ Why I was fascinated but still skeptical
✨ What happened during my first Reiki attunement
✨ The surprising message my teacher shared with me
✨ Why my 30-day Reiki practice changed my relationship with intuition
✨ The hilarious—and slightly terrifying—experience that finally made me believe Reiki was actually doing something
✨ Why Reiki felt completely different from the achievements I'd chased earlier in my life
✨ How Reiki opened the door to my developing intuitive and mediumship abilities
✨ The experience that made me realize, "I need a mentor."
And underneath all of it is a question I hope you'll take with you:
What is your next little yes?
You don't need the whole map.
Sometimes you just need the next step.
✨ A Little Note for You
Maybe Reiki isn't your thing.
That's okay.
The bigger question is whether there's something you've been curious about.
Something you've been thinking about.
Something you keep coming back to.
Something that makes absolutely no sense on paper—but keeps quietly pulling at you anyway.
Maybe you don't need to know exactly where it's going.
Maybe you just need to be curious enough to begin.

Coming Home to Myself
There are a handful of moments in my life that I still can't fully explain.
This is one of them.
What started as an ordinary afternoon on my living room couch became the beginning of a journey back to myself. But this story isn't really about meditation... or Reiki... or even spirituality.
It's about remembering.
In this episode, I take you back to my childhood—a little girl obsessed with mystery, nature, imagination, and wonder—and the gradual process of losing touch with that part of myself as life became louder.
If you've ever felt disconnected from yourself...
If you've ever wondered where your spark went...
If you've ever ignored a quiet feeling because it didn't make logical sense...
This episode is for you.
Maybe your inner voice hasn't disappeared.
Maybe it's simply been waiting for a little more space.

Learning My Body's Language
What happens when you stop asking, "Who has the answer?" and start asking, "What is this experience trying to teach me?" In this deeply personal episode, Shauna shares the turning point in her healing journey after years of chronic illness. As she begins noticing patterns instead of chasing diagnoses, she discovers that healing isn't about controlling every outcome—it's about learning to trust yourself enough to take the next step. This episode is for every woman navigating uncertainty, whether it's a health challenge, relationship, career change, grief, or simply finding herself again.

The Missing Piece
After my seizure, I thought finding the answer would be simple.
Go to the doctor.
Run the tests.
Get a diagnosis.
Start treatment.
Move on.
Instead, I found myself trapped in an endless cycle of appointments, bloodwork, referrals, and waiting rooms. Every appointment seemed to raise more questions than it answered.
In this episode of Reclaiming Her, I share the next chapter of my healing journey—the moment I stopped waiting for someone else to solve the mystery of my health and started following the clues myself.
What began as another appointment with my naturopath eventually led to a discovery inside our home that changed everything.
Not because it solved all my health problems...
But because it gave me something I hadn't felt in years.
Hope.
This episode isn't really about mold.
It's about what happens when we stop searching for one perfect answer and begin paying attention to the clues our lives have been giving us all along.
In this episode you'll hear:
• What happened after my seizure and why I still didn't have answers
• The emotional reality of living with unexplained symptoms
• Why my naturopath started looking beyond traditional explanations
• How discovering hidden mold in our home became one of the biggest clues in my healing journey
• The surprising emotion I felt when the mold was confirmed
• Why healing wasn't one breakthrough—but a series of small discoveries
• The lesson this experience taught me about trusting my body
Whether you're navigating chronic illness, burnout, grief, a difficult season of life, or simply feel like something isn't quite right, I hope this episode reminds you that healing often begins with curiosity—not certainty.

The Day My Body Said “No.”
There was a time when I believed my greatest strength was my ability to push through.
Push through the exhaustion.
Push through the pain.
Push through the anxiety.
Push through another day.
Until one ordinary morning... my body said no.
In this deeply personal episode of Reclaiming Her, I share one of the most frightening experiences of my life—the day I collapsed at work, the terrifying symptoms that landed me in the emergency room, and the heartbreaking moment I began questioning whether I could even trust myself.
But this episode isn't really about a medical emergency.
It's about the hidden cost of constantly putting everyone else first.
It's about what happens when our identity becomes tied to being the strong one, the dependable one, the one who never lets anyone down.
And it's about the moment I realized that resilience and self-abandonment aren't the same thing.
In this episode we explore:
• Why high-achieving women often ignore their own needs
• The hidden cost of constantly pushing through
• What happens when your body can no longer keep up
• Why so many women stop trusting themselves
• The difference between resilience and self-abandonment
• The question that changed the course of my healing journey
If you've ever felt exhausted, overwhelmed, burned out, or like you've been carrying the weight of everyone else's expectations...
I hope this episode reminds you that you don't have to earn your right to rest.

The Whispers I Kept Ignoring
Have you ever felt like something in your life isn't quite right, but you can't explain why?
In this episode of Reclaiming Her, I share the beginning of my health and healing journey, long before there was a diagnosis. This isn't really a story about chronic illness. It's a story about what happens when we stop listening to ourselves.
I open up about becoming a new mom, struggling to balance work and family, chasing success, living with constant anxiety, and ignoring the quiet whispers that something needed to change.
Looking back, I can see my body wasn't failing me, it was trying to communicate with me.
If you've ever felt exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in a career that no longer fits, burdened by people-pleasing, or afraid to trust your own intuition, this episode is for you.
In this episode, we'll explore:
• Why we slowly lose touch with ourselves
• The hidden cost of constantly pushing through
• Mom guilt, perfectionism, and people-pleasing
• Why anxiety can make it difficult to hear your intuition
• How our bodies often whisper long before they scream
This episode is an invitation to pause and ask yourself one simple question:
What whisper have I been ignoring?

The Woman I Had to Become Before I Could Reclaim Her
From the outside, my life looked successful.
I had a career I loved, a wonderful family, amazing friends, financial stability, and a life many people would have been grateful for.
So why did I feel so disconnected from myself?
In this very first episode of Reclaiming Her, I'm sharing the story of the moment I realized that despite checking all the boxes and achieving many of the things I thought would make me happy, something was missing.
We'll talk about perfectionism, people-pleasing, chasing external validation, and the hidden cost of living a life that looks good on paper but no longer feels aligned.
Most importantly, I'll share the realization that changed everything:
There was never anything wrong with me.
I had simply become disconnected from myself.
If you've ever felt stuck, exhausted, overwhelmed, or like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way, this episode is for you.
In this episode:
• Why achievement and success weren't enough
• The moment I realized something needed to change
• How I lost touch with myself without realizing it
• The lesson that became the foundation of Reclaiming Her
• A question that may change how you view your own journey
And stay tuned until the end, because in the next episode, I'll share how my body eventually forced me to pay attention—and how that became the beginning of my healing journey.
