Two young conservative women who voted for Trump ask the questions their own side keeps dodging. Each week, they hold MAGA accountable to its own promises: what was delivered, what was abandoned, and what got quietly walked back when nobody was looking. Conservative Reckoning is for the growing number of right-leaning voters who still believe in limited government, personal liberty, and fiscal responsibility but refuse to clap for a movement that forgot those values existed. If you feel politically stranded between a party you helped build and a direction you can't defend, pull up a chair. You belong here.
Pretend I'm on the Ballot: The 1% Ad Problem Oct 27
In Week 44 of 2026, Red Flag looks at whether Republicans are actually following Trump's Dallas instruction to treat him as if he's on the ballot, or quietly leaving his name out of their ads.
Rachel and Jordyn work through AdImpact's figures on how often GOP ads mention him, then check them against spending data and the raw ad counts. They also look at Reuters reporting on Republicans in tight races who split with him on single issues, including a Michigan Senate ad on Canada trade. The October numbers are "so far in October" and not final as of Oct. 27, and the hosts say plainly that Iran, data centers and ICE are thinner on documentation.
The hosts disagree on whether these breaks are principle or targeted polling. Rachel calls them polling. Jordyn argues a local-cost break can be both. They grade it with a Receipt Check.
- Why airings and dollars point the same way
- Why a missing name is not a changed position
- What a 2024 Trump voter can take from the ads
So if the candidates I backed won't say his name now, what am I supposed to believe they stand for?

Drill Baby Drill, Meet Putin's Diesel, Oct 20
In Week 43 of 2026, Red Flag examines the "energy dominance" promise against a White House deal to import Russian diesel and ease pump prices.
Rachel and Jordyn walk through what the deal covers: 4.8 million metric tons, nearly 36 million barrels, through mid-April. They look at the six Republican senators who joined six Democrats in opposing it, and the letter's argument that it funds Russia's war for limited to no price relief.
Then they check the receipts. Analysts doubt the deal moves prices much. Diesel is still above $6 a gallon, with big regional gaps. Truckers and farmers say the relief on offer is small.
- The deal: what was signed and who objected
- The data: weekly diesel prices and regional spreads
- The impact: what truckers and farmers pay
- The grades: each host scores the promise
The hosts disagree. Jordyn calls it pragmatism if it works. Rachel calls it betrayal of the promise.
If I voted for energy dominance, why am I now buying Russian diesel and still paying over six dollars a gallon?

COLA Day: Grandma's Raise, Your 2032 Bill
In Week 42 of 2026, Rachel and Jordyn examine the promise that nobody will touch your Social Security, just as the 2027 cost-of-living adjustment is due to be announced on October 14.
Forecasts sit around 3.5 percent, but a bigger raise means prices rose more, and Medicare Part B takes a bite out of it. The 2026 Trustees Report projects the retirement trust fund running short in the fourth quarter of 2032, which would mean an automatic 22 percent cut unless Congress acts.
The hosts disagree on who owns the problem. Rachel blames spending and entitlements. Jordyn blames a party that won't level with voters. They also split on the grade for the "leave it alone" pledge: Rachel gives it a C-minus, Jordyn a D.
They close with three questions to ask candidates about the plan, the start date, and who pays more or takes less.
I voted for the party that said hands off, so what is the actual plan before the cut arrives?
