The New Trump Account Loophole ($1,000 Free Child Seed Money)
In this packed episode of The Red, White and Green, Ted Jenkin and Southside Steve Rickman expose the hidden loopholes and outdated math holding you back. You’ll learn how to secure thousands in free government seed money, unlock massive automatic corporate stock discounts, and completely upgrade your retirement timeline to turn market volatility into your ultimate advantage.
In News You Can Use, we break down the newly implemented Trump Accounts for kids under 18, detailing how parents can claim the government's one-time $1,000 starter contribution for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. Ted unpacks the step-by-step process using IRS Form 4547, how families and employers can add up to $5,000 a year tax-free, and whether this vehicle beats out a traditional 529 plan.
Plus, we look at a bizarre new entertainment trend out of Thailand that might be pushing comfort a step too far: movie theaters replacing traditional seats with full-size luxury mattresses. For roughly $36, moviegoers get a full premium mattress, unlimited popcorn, blankets, and a built-in heater and massager. We debate whether this hyper-lazy trend will ever catch on in America, or if driving to a communal theater just to crawl into a bed is a recipe for falling asleep during a $30 blockbuster.
In They Didn't Teach You This, we uncover the hidden wealth potential hiding right inside your corporate benefits package: Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPPs). If your company offers a 10% to 20% discount on purchasing company stock directly from your paycheck, you are sitting on a massive, low-risk return. Learn the exact math showing why passing this up is leaving free cash on the table, alongside the critical "366th-day rule" you must follow to slash your tax burden from ordinary income brackets down to long-term capital gains rates.
In our Money Hacks segment, we tackle the death of the traditional "Rule of 100". If you are still balancing your stocks and bonds by subtracting your age from 100, your portfolio is falling behind. Because people are living much longer, learn why you must upgrade to the Rule of 120 to protect your retirement from running out of runway. Finally, we answer a burning viewer question on market bubbles, breaking down the psychology of fear and explaining why a sharp market correction should be treated exactly like a massive "buy-one-get-one" sale at the grocery store.
Don't let outdated asset rules and panic-selling ruin your financial future.
