Guest Pastor Christian Schmidt from LaPort Missionary Church brings us a message from the Gosple of Luke.
Main points from this passage:
Jesus has the power to make us clean.
Jesus has the authority to forgive our sins.
Application for us today:
If you have never confessed your sins, repent and turn to Jesus.
If you are a follower of Jesus, so you really believe that your greatest problem is your sin and seperation from God?
Check your prayer life. Are you aligned with what Jesus was aligned with or are your requests more about the "physical"?

Ten Words Transfigured - Sabbath Rest
Exodus 20:8-11
The Forth Word (Commandment) : Remember the Sabbath
It had observances
It had consequences
It had context
The 4th Word as transfigured in Jesus:
Jesus perfectly kept the Sabbath
Jesus bor consequences for sin
Jesus offers Rest
Jesus accomplished new works on the first day
3 Ways the Sabbath still applies to Christians today:
Christians receive Sabbath rest in Christ.
Christians gather for Sabbath reorienting, resting, reflecting, and rejoicing on the Lord's Day.
Christians acknowledge that our Sabbath rest remains.

Stories with Jesus - The Parable of the Two Sons
Luke 15:11-32
Takeaways:
The younger son displays all the marks of genuine repentance:
a. An acknowledgement of our personal sin.
b. A recognition of what our sins deserve.
c. A seeking after mercy.
Restoration is available for any penitent sinner - but they must come.
In his compassion, Christ extends his arms for the world and offers his embrace.
The Lord now entreats his church to rejoice in the return of all lost sinners.
