October 25, 2026 - (Revelation 13:1-10) The dragon stands upon the shore and summons a beast from the sea. The beast combines the terrifying features of the empires in Daniel’s visions, as though every previous form of imperial violence has been gathered into one creature.
The beast receives authority from the dragon. It imitates the Lamb with what appears to be a mortal wound followed by a counterfeit resurrection. The world marvels, follows, and worships because the beast appears invincible: “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

AWAITING THE KING | The War Behind All Wars
October 18, 2026 - (Revelation 12) A woman gives birth, a dragon waits to devour the child, and war breaks out in heaven. Revelation unveils the spiritual conflict behind the visible conflicts of history. The dragon cannot destroy the Messiah, so he turns his rage upon the Messiah’s people. Yet the dragon has already been thrown down. His accusations do not determine the verdict of heaven. The saints conquer through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. They do not conquer through their own moral perfection or political dominance. They stand in the Lamb’s vindication and continue speaking faithfully. The dragon is dangerous but defeated. His fury is partly the fury of a power that knows its time is short.

AWAITING THE KING | The Witnesses
October 4, 2026 - The temple is measured, the holy city is trampled, and two witnesses prophesy in the pattern of Moses and Elijah. They represent the church in its prophetic vocation. The witnesses do not possess conventional power. They testify, suffer, die, and appear defeated. Babylon celebrates over their bodies. Yet God raises them. The church’s apparent vulnerability is not evidence of its failure. Its vocation is not to preserve itself at every cost but to bear faithful witness to the kingdom. The world may silence witnesses, but it cannot prevent God from vindicating their testimony. The seventh trumpet announces the destination of history: the kingdom of the world becomes the kingdom of God and his Christ.
