<p>Joe Camillieri from The Black Sorrows Joined John on "The 90s to Now"on 2BACR 100/9FM , we spoke about his amazing music life , and his 50th Album Release / 19th as The Black Sorrows - Saint Georges Road</p> <p>To hear the Music <a href="https://open.spotify.com/show/1R4so7njNF2lVsxR1FqOyo?si=zzRGcIucSZiOUfbz7OUNhQ&dl_branch=1" target="_blank">with the podcast click here (only on Spotify)</a></p> <p>^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^</p> <p><strong>Saint Georges Road</strong> is the the 19th studio album from <strong>The Black Sorrows</strong> and was released to the world on Sept. 10 through <strong>Ambition Records.</strong> As if to come full circle for this milestone release, Joe reunited with Grammy nominated <strong>Peter Solley</strong> - producer of <strong>Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons</strong>’ breakthrough album <strong>Screaming Targets</strong> (‘79) that featured Joe’s first <strong>Top 40</strong> hits, <strong>Hit and Run</strong>and <strong>Shape I’m In</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Saint Georges Road</strong> showcases 11 original tracks written by <strong>Joe Camilleri </strong>and his long-time writing partner <strong>Nick Smith</strong>. Before they embarked on the project, <strong>Peter Solley</strong>asked Joe one question, “What kind of record do you want to make?” Joe replied, “A good one.” They have certainly achieved that judging by the reviews coming in.</p> <p><strong>The Black Sorrows</strong> continue to be one Australia’s most prolific and enduringly popular bands renowned for their high-energy live shows, musicianship, and infectious, roots-soaked blues rock. They’ve sold more than two million albums to date and won an <strong>ARIA Award for Best Group.</strong></p> <p><strong>Joe Camilleri</strong> has been at the forefront of Australian music for decades as the leader of <strong>Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons</strong> and <strong>The Black Sorrows</strong> and as writer of radio anthems <strong>Hit & Run,</strong> <strong>Shape I’m In</strong>, <strong>Chained To The Wheel</strong>, <strong>Harley & Rose</strong> and <strong>Never Let Me Go</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Joe Camilleri</strong> is an <strong>ARIA Hall of Famer </strong>and at 73 years old, a rock’n’roll lifer. Not ready to hang up his boots just yet, he’s working on his 51st album. It’s what he does.</p>

I wanted to write this song for many years since dad's passing, but it was still too raw and emotional. This song is very personal to me, and I knew Graeme Connors, who is based in Mackay, would be the perfect writing partner to help me capture the emotion I wanted to convey in the song. Graeme is an incredible songwriter, and it was a real pleasure to tell this story with him. I have to say, of all the songs I have written, this one is my favourite." The video was produced by multiple award winner Duncan Toombs from The Filmery. The pair travelled to Mackay and spent several days filming around the township, and on the very same boat, with Les' old work mates. Harvey says "This song documents the important moments in my father’s life, and I knew Duncan Toombs was the right man to capture the emotion I wanted to convey in the video clip. He has done an incredible job painting the perfect picture to go with my lyrics. I still get emotional when I watch the video." With a career spanning over twenty years, half a million album sales, gold and platinum albums, and eight Golden Guitar awards, Adam Harvey is one of Australia’s most popular and enduring recording artists. Harvey was presented with the CMA Global Country Artist Award in 2007 and has been awarded a Centenary Medal for his charity work. Harvey is also an Ambassador for the Fred Hollows Foundation, and the McGrath Foundation. Harvey is currently writing a book titled "Tales from the Road", which is a collection of stories from Adam and his country music mates chronicling some of the funny, inspiring and downright scary things that have happened on tour over the years. Following the outstanding success of his latest album Songs From Highway One, which hit #1 on the ARIA Top 40 Country Albums and #10 on the ARIA Albums (all genres), Harvey spent most of 2021 performing to sell-out crowds across Australia</p>

The Marty Rose Band (MRB) is from Melbourne , Australia - David Briggs - Guitarist and Songwriter (ARIA hall of Fame - Little River Band and Grammy Nominated Musician ) joined John on the Phone to talk " Elvis T C B , A song he wrote / Performed and recorded for the band. from the bands forthcoming Album The Tear Drop Line. Elvis T C B The song is a tribute to the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, and pays homage to the man, while saluting all who continue to live in hope of sighting the legend himself. David as a member of LRB wrote US Billboard No 6 Song " Lonesome loser" which was the bands only Grammy Nominated Song. He also spoke about his "life " after LRB.
