89: Don’t Let Your Clutter Haunt You
What’s scarier than a haunted house? Your clutter. 👻
For many people, the hardest part of decluttering isn’t knowing what to do, it’s facing the fear, overwhelm, and uncertainty that comes with getting started. In this Halloween-inspired episode, we’re confronting some of the biggest “ghosts” of decluttering: fear of starting, decision fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and the fear that decluttering will take forever.
When every item requires a decision, even a small pile can feel overwhelming. And when you’re already wondering “Where do I even start?” or “How long is this going to take?”, it’s easy to avoid the process altogether.
We’ll reframe those fears, break down why decluttering can feel so mentally exhausting, and explore practical strategies to make the process feel less overwhelming and more manageable.
Because sometimes the thing haunting your home isn’t the clutter itself, it’s the fear of making the first decision.
It’s time to face your clutter fears, reclaim your space, and stop letting overwhelm run the show. 🎃
