What to do When You Don't Feel Free
What does it truly mean to be free? Our culture celebrates freedom, but so often we find ourselves enslaved to our desires, our habits, and our sin. In Romans 6 and Galatians 5, we discover that true freedom isn’t found in doing whatever we want, but in being set free from the power of sin through Jesus Christ. Just as God delivered Israel from slavery in Egypt, Christ has delivered us from slavery to sin and called us to walk in newness of life. But how do we live in the freedom we’ve been given? Join us as we explore what it means to live by the Spirit, bear the fruit of righteousness, and stop living as slaves to sin when Christ has already set us free. What to do When Submission Feels Like Death
What comes to mind when you hear the word submission? If we're honest, most of us probably cringe a little. We live in a culture that celebrates independence, questions authority, and was quite literally born out of rebellion. But what if one of the sneakiest things keeping us from the freedom Jesus offers is something we rarely even think to question? We know when we're struggling to forgive. We recognize when we're wrestling with fear or holding on to old wounds. But submission? Pride? Rebellion? Sometimes those are a little harder to spot in our own hearts. This week, we're taking an honest look at what it means to surrender to God—not because He's trying to hold us back, but because His heart has always been for us. What if the thing we're resisting is the very place God wants to bring us freedom?
