We NEED to talk about the new Wuthering Heights (plus, blackmailing in the Georgian Era)

We're traveling to Yorkshire in our latest episode, where Kayla and Jordan are RANTING about this new Wuthering Heights. The film, which is directed by Emerald Fennell and stars Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie, is drawing a lot of attention online with controversial first looks and behind the scenes photos. Kayla and Jordan talk about theories to do with the new film and some of the arguements for and against Fennell directing the new version. Then, we dive into the menacing world of blackmailing in the Georgian era where we explore court cases from the 1700s where loss of reputation was almost as dangerous as death... A Thousand Blows: Inside the Dangerous World of Underground Victorian Boxing (Disney+ Ep 4-6)

In the next podcast episode, we break down the final three episodes of Disney+’s historical drama A Thousand Blows. We explore the dangerous underground world of boxing in Victorian London, where we talk about bare knuckle boxing and the lives of real boxers like Hezekiah and Alec, who were risking their lives in and outside of the ring. We also look into Mary's budding relationship with the rising boxer and our speculation for adventure in Season 2. The series, created by the makers of Peaky Blinders, features Malachi Kirby as Hezekiah Moscow, Stephen Graham as the formidable bare-knuckle boxing champion Sugar Goodson, and Erin Doherty as Mary Carr, the cunning leader of the infamous all‐female criminal gang, the Forty Elephants. Finally, Kayla reccomends a Victorian period drama with just as much intringue and dark alleys as A Thousand Blows... Also, we're now on Youtube, subscribe for more period drama content!
