2 Peter 3:8-13 . . . . In these verses, Peter reminds us that God's timing is not our timing. He writes that "with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." We are stuck in time, but God is not. Preparing for the return of Jesus Christ should be at the very top of our list of things to do daily. There will be a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. Let your future hope be a light to others and help lead them to Christ. Remind yourself of God's Promises every day and don't be afraid to share the hope you have in Jesus Christ.

God's Redemptive Truth
2 Peter 3:1-7 . . . . In these verses, Peter reminds us of our need to follow God's Word. God's redemptive truth must be learned and relearned. In the Bible, we have been given both the Old Testament and the New Testament, God's Word, as one single Divine revelation. The world denies the truth of God's Word, but only God can make this world a better place. He gave us Jesus Christ who gives salvation and the Great Commission. We are all sinners and are forgiven by a loving God through Jesus Christ. Let one of your daily goals be to read the Bible, study it, and then teach it to others.

When Your Old Life Comes Calling
2 Peter 2:17-22 . . . . Peter has several warnings about the harmful effects of false teachings and how false teachers can enslave you. Empty promises cannot satisfy the soul. True Freedom is being bound by Christ. Inspect what dominates your life. Are you a slave of sin or of righteousness? Don't let sin become a habit. Repent, confess, and seek God's help to free you from a corrupt spirit. Find a new life in Jesus Christ.
