Episode 18: What Can I Take Off My Plate When It Feels Like Everything Matters?
Do you ever feel like your metaphorical plate—all the things that are filling up your time—is pretty full? Maybe even overflowing and starting to spill onto the ground? Work, kids, family, friends, chores, sleep, hobbies… there’s a lot to do and a lot to try to fit in.
A lot of us feel like our plate is a little too full… but we don’t know what we can possibly take off when everything feels important! How am I supposed to know what to drop when it feels like nothing can give? Most of the time, it’s not what’s on our plates that’s complicating our lives. It’s how we’re doing it.

Episode 17: Why Prioritizing Your Own Health Matters in Relationships
An important aspect of our relationship to ourselves that we haven’t talked about yet on Relate-Able is our health. It’s just a simple fact that when we feel physically well, we’re more capable of enjoying the time we spend with other people and when we’re depleted, our relationships may feel like more of a burden.
But it’s easy to deprioritize your own health when you’re busy taking care of other people or when the health professionals don’t offer the help you need.
In this episode, Dr. Dana Culp talks about how much the way you care for your body can impact the connection you feel with others, especially as you age (and all of us are aging, no matter what stage of that we’re in right now).

Episode 16: Getting Out of the Comparison Spiral
We know that comparison happens. We know that it doesn’t always feel that great. We know that “comparison is the thief of joy” or that the “grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.” We don’t need to be told that.
What we want to understand is how we can free ourselves from the spiral of comparison that can overwhelm us with feelings of inadequacy. How we can worry less about what others are doing and feel more comfortable living our own lives. How we can actually spend less mental space comparing and more time feeling good about ourselves.
In this episode we talk about what’s at the root of comparison—why we do it, what is signals, and how understanding that can help us find practical ways to ease that feeling in your life.
