Worship | Pastor John Eaton | Transitions | 10/11/2026
Life is full of transitions. Whether you're facing uncertainty, unexpected challenges, difficult decisions, or an unknown future, it's easy to become consumed by fear, worry, and the need to find a way out. But what if God is inviting you to respond differently? What if the key to navigating your transition isn't worrying more, planning harder, or trying to control everything—but worshiping Him?
In this message, “Worship During Transition,” we explore how worship shifts our focus from the size of our problems to the greatness of our God. Through the powerful story of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20, we discover how God's people responded to an overwhelming enemy by seeking the Lord, fixing their eyes on Him, and sending worshipers ahead of the army.
We also look at Paul and Silas, who prayed and sang hymns to God while imprisoned, reminding us that worship isn't dependent on our circumstances. Worship doesn't mean pretending our problems don't exist, nor is it a way to force God to do what we want. Instead, worship realigns our hearts with Him, pushes back fear, strengthens our faith, and fills us with hope as we trust Him to lead the way.
IN THIS MESSAGE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:🙏 How to turn fear into faith during seasons of transition.🙏 Why worship is more powerful than constantly worrying about your problems.🙏 How praying and worshiping together can strengthen your family and community.🙏 Why keeping your eyes on Jesus matters when you don't know what to do next.🙏 How to trust God's promises and listen for His direction.🙏 Why worship isn't just for the breakthrough—it's also for the waiting.🙏 How worship can bring peace, hope, and renewed perspective in the middle of life's struggles.
KEY SCRIPTURES:📖 Ecclesiastes 3:1 — A season for everything.📖 Matthew 6:31–34 — Seek God's kingdom and don't worry about tomorrow.📖 2 Chronicles 20:12–30 — The battle belongs to the Lord.📖 Acts 16:25–26 — Paul and Silas worship in prison.📖 Proverbs 9:10 — The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
REMEMBER THIS: When you don't know what to do, fix your eyes on Jesus. When fear begins to take over, worship Him. When the road ahead seems impossible, trust the God who goes before you.
You don't have to fight every battle in your own strength. God is with you in every season, including the seasons you never expected.
Worship before the breakthrough. Worship in the middle of the battle. Worship after the victory. Let your focus be on Him, not on the problem.
